Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows too small . No hot water . Warm water comes only after time . Wasn’t cleaned properly. Bathroom. It’s old hotel so no wonder why and it’s only 2 stars ..

The bed was awful. Mattress had visible springs sticking up and when you sat on it you hit the base of the bed immediately. There were loads of damp patches on the walls and the general finish of the room was awful.

Hotel is very dated decor wise and is very run down. The room door was very old and with one small lock, didnt feel secure. The walls are incredibly thin so everytime someone waled past the room, it was as loud as having them in there with us. The room I stayed in itself was a gallery of bodged diy fixes with the ceiling looking like it had come in once or twice and dodgey floor boards to match. The room had overall grubby feel created by the limescale in the shower basin amongst other reasons. No hot water so myself and my son had to have cold showers and the toilet flush was pretty spontaneous as to when it wanted to work and didn't. There was no overhead light in the room so only 2 wall lamps for light which wasn't great. It's a real shame because location wise, the hotel is great. The staff were all nice so the hotel has a lot of potential it just seems like it was forgotten about

Location was not great and most places were dirty. This particular room was better that the room in which I stayed three nights before.

I was upgraded into a better and more expensive room when I showed that my toilet sink was very dirty and the tap was turning a whole circle from the base when turned. Someone had not sorted it out and the water was not draining. It was filthy dirty.

The hotel was run down with multiple areas needing repair. A dubious policy in reception stating that nightstaff or receptionists have the right to enter your room at night for spot checks or along those lines.

The hotel and its room was dirty and foul-smelling. The curtains were almost falling off its rail and was dirty. The floor was creaking really badly. It was very noisy the entire time. The sink was blocked. The pillows were not good. The room didn't have a window which is a bare minimum in a room. Couldn't sleep all night cause it was boiling hot and stinky! In the morning, cleaner opened the door without knocking and it was before check out time. Wouldn't recommend at all, would never go back there.

lowest cost maintenance ever. Seriously, everything they could spare money on they did. Which is fine for the price but a few obvious things weren't great like there was no warm water and other guests were questionable (rented basically by the hour)

No WiFi in room - only in lounge which is filthy: the brown legs of the tables have turned white from the settled dust! (Locals said the hotel has been dirty for many years.) Had to ask twice to be given the WiFi pass details. Uncontrollable shower temperature: too hot to use. No toilet paper. Couldn't use the TV remote control to set subtitles. No "welcome" or other niceties from staff. Wasn't allowed to use the reception phone to get my mobile phone blocked when it was stolen! Being Sunday (everything was closed) and with a stolen phone, I asked permission to get access to the office computer to print out my online coach ticket. One member of staff said I could, the other said there was no printer available! Terrible DIY job all over the place. My door lock was repaired with mastic - not safe.

Very quiet, just outside the station. Slept well. My bedding was very clean, probably brand new.

Property is very tired. Damp leaks on ceiling, wallpaper ripped and hanging off, carpets worn thin, curtains don’t meet in the middle. Very basic property in need of a freshen up.

The room was far too hot. The mattress was so soft we could feel the bed frame through it. Window safety wire was almost off. Shower head holder was broken.

Free on site parking was available. Location in regards to where we needed to be the next day was good. Proximity of the hotel to local supermarket, eateries and pubs was very good.

The floor board where creaky The door latch was broken, I didn’t feel safe not being able to lock it from the inside so had to put the cupboard up against the door to help me get some sleep.there was what looked like a cockroach on the radiator.
