Thankfully there was nothing to dislike.

The cottage was lovely. It was comfortable and quaint. The surroundings were also beautiful with colourful flowers lining the way to the door.

We were very happy on this occasion thank-you. We just need to both get a little bit fitter to cope with the inclines and declines of the terrain / streets of Holmfirth itself! This can't be helped really, but we had a lovely stay. Thank-you. :)

We really enjoyed staying in the lovely, cosy, Crosland Cottage in Holmfirth these past couple of days. The cottage is superb throughout, extremely clean and tidy with thoughtful decorations etc, and this all adds to the special atmosphere of this very nice place. We particularly liked the comfy beds, the kitchen and the bathroom, and the welcoming and cosy lounge, with the really memorable view out of the window over the town of Holmfirth. The outdoor gardens leading up to the cottage are delightful and Holmfirth itself is well worth a visit, especially for all BBC-TV 'Last of the Summer Wine' fans! :) A great stay, with great hosts and we hope to be back again one day in the future. Thank-you. :)

    Nothing

Crosland Cottage had everything we needed for our two night stay. It’s a really cosy and warm cottage, which has lovely views of the valley to appreciate. The kitchen is really well equipped and the bed was really comfy.

The only downside is the location is on a hill and to get to the property from the m1 like we did it takes you over some dodgy roads but that doesn’t detract in any way from the property but if you aren’t good with walking up and down hills then this wouldn’t be ideal unless you wanted to drive to the shop which is at the bottom of the hill

Location was perfect it had literally everything we could think of needing for a short stay with 2 young children. The bedrooms were perfect and lots of little things like books and games left to use which was a great touch Also you get provided some milk and washing up liquid along with cleaning products for the dishes and sides to help. The property was warm constantly which was great in an old cottage like this and the heating worked well as sometimes thermostats don’t work but this worked perfect The beds were so comfy as well which again is a rarity we will be staying here every time we visit family in Huddersfield now.

Kitchen area was very small though great for a couple. Would have liked a vegetable peeler.

Lovely rural location. Cosy, bijou cottage full of history. Perfect for a couple of nights and a small party of people. Library of books and some board games, too. Modern facilities throughout.

About the property itself, there was nothing to dislike. However, despite detailed directions, we had difficulty finding the exact entrance in complete darkness. A light sensor and a numbered pointer (No.5) would’ve helped.

cosy, well presented and equipped (except for soap which we’d forgotten to pack).
