Stress free, relaxing, super comfortable, amazing staff. Wonderful stay.

Food was well cooked and presented, however, slightly disappointed in the limited use of local produce. If staying for a weekend, the same menu was in place each night, would of been nice to see an alternative over the weekend.

Rooms were beautiful, very clean and spacious. Breakfasts were fantastic. All the staff were fantastic - very professional, engaging and efficient. Attention to detail. eg - providing bottles of sun cream on hot days.

We really enjoyed our stay - the staff were exceptional, the setting and decor beautiful and the food (breakfast and dinner) delicious. Well situated with lots of local activities/places to see and enjoy.

From the time we arrived , we were made to feel most welcome and nothing was too much trouble , the whole stay was a delightful experience… beautiful room Very clean , nice toiletries, nice little touches , we came back to out room after dinner to find the bed covers turned down , curtains drawn slippers left out and sweets on the pillow .. Breakfast was amazing , porridge made exactly how I like it , lots of choice

Absolutely everything, was on the 'bucket list' to go to Cromlix and highly, highly recommend it. First class experience, customer service above and beyond, the Glasshouse Restuarant seved delicious meals, breakfast porridge was best ever. Accommadation exceptional but so homely. If you get the chance Go.

There were some inconsistencies during the evening meal services. Our first night's meals were interesting and tasty. The pasta dish on the second night should have been of a much higher standard, considering the quality of the restaurant.

The hotel is stunning. The greeting was warm and welcoming. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. Our suite was amazing and little touches like "granny Erskine's shortbread" , a good choice of coffee and tea, water , snacks and fruit were appreciated. The breakfast choices are great. The hotel is spotless and maintained well.

We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our room had been upgraded and it was beautiful. The decor of the house and rooms is so lovely, we enjoyed looking around. We walked down the drive to the road and back up through the back lane. The countryside is stunning and so peaceful.

The only criticism would be the noise when cleaning down after restaurant service.

The artwork, the situation and the food.

There are two road bridges that are very narrow on the approach to the hotel. As usual with Scottish country roads.....expect the unexpected and you will not be disappointed. Just drift along the curves and don't be tempted to push your luck!

What is there not to like? It's absolutely beautiful. We loved the tennis courts(one normal, one kids size), the apiary, the garden, the road in via mature woodland was magnificent. The welcome was spectacular and very friendly(at last Scots got this right....Cromlix should teach the rest of Scotland how to do this!), loved the scented candle smell at reception; you can buy them there too, we even got some Granny Erskine shortbread in the room, lovely tea/coffee and the wife loved the crisps(she even ate mine!). The room and entire hotel is spectacularly well decorated. There are lovely quirks, e.g. the old fashioned phone and wardrobes. It has a beautiful place to eat and watch the gardens. If you wanted a smart hotel, a friendly reception, great food and a nice wee dram....this is thee place to stay. You get what you pay for and Cromlix never fails to deliver. FANTASTIC.

I’m not sure why it has a 5 star rating. Only one restaurant, and the only thing to do when we visited in February was to play billiards. I didn’t like how you could see the chefs making your food and using their fingers to plate the food, if it’s 5 star at least use tongs to pick up the bacon!!!

Staff very friendly and professional. Greeted at the front door with glass of Prosecco. Lovely spacious bedroom and huge bathroom, we had a view of the driveway as you approached the property. Very quiet location.

Booked afternoon tea and had relayed information to hotel that gift vouchers were veing used. Advised that as long as theh had number vouchers not needed. Information not passed on and was billed for something that had been paid for. However was quickly remedied.

Breakfast excellent, room was excellent, staff were very helpful and enjoyed ambience. Afternoon tea very good and catered very well for gluten free diet. Very good and warm welcome from staff.
