Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSome bottled water kept in fridge on arrival would have been ideal due to the weather being very hot during our stay.

United KingdomThe only thing I would change is the 4pm time for getting into your room. It is a little late especially if you have to settle a dog and go out. But saying that, we tried at 3pm and it was all ready for us - happy days!
Beautiful location with plenty of green space to walk the dog. The on- site cafe had great food and there is even a cool dog cafe next door to treat them to food and snacks. The barn/ house is perfect with everything you need. Would definitely return for a night away break. 😃

United KingdomIm being picky but the TV didnt work that well, kept losing reception. Also the booking process with the credit card for damages could be a bit slicker to avoid phone calls and emails.

United KingdomNo pen on the guest sign in book so I couldn’t write one out. Even in my wife’s Mary poppins handbag we didn’t have a single pen. That’s everything. Nothing else we didn’t like.
The best part was the peace and quiet and the walks, my wife and I booked an hour slot for the hot tub and salt room, and it was so relaxing and peaceful, if your looking for a refresh on mental health or helping someone else, here is the best place to do it. Thanks everyone we loved it!

United KingdomVery hot with little ventilation, could benefit from more fans to help combat this issue. Maybe an option for a lighter duvet set for summer.
Property was very cute and cozy, the property was super clean and well maintained. Great facility and well stocked with kitchen appliances.

United KingdomNothing!
The staff were absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond every day which is what makes this place really special! We stayed in the river view barn which has a lovely view, plenty of space and everything you need. It's nice to be staying somewhere where people drive to to take their dogs for a walk, we just walked straight from the front door! The site is really dog friendly as well with a dog cafe hosting dog socialising meets on Wednesdays.

United KingdomThe upstairs bedrooms got very warm even in September and one person has to sleep against the wall which is a bit tricky if that person needs to get up in the night or even just first in the morning
The Granary is huge but manages to be cosy at the same time with a large very well equipped kitchen the en-suits in every room are great

United KingdomFISHERMAN’s COTTAGE We liked the cottage very much. However a few simple improvements would help enormously because surface and storage space is very limited. For example *. Access up stairs from the car park was difficult with cases and shopping for elderly people. Perhaps consider a ramp? * Lack of surfaces for toiletries in the bathroom and some hooks or rail would be useful * Lack of surfaces in kitchen / lounge area . The microwave needs to be usable not stuck in the cupboard because too heavy to lift out safely. The TV could be fixed to the wall to give a surface, if necessary and the cupboard could then be used for storage.
Beautiful quiet setting with plenty to see and do nearby. Well equipped for a short break
