Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe were based a few minutes walk from the main building. The Thai restaurant was very very small. We were very close to others and each other!
The rooms are quirky and different from anywhere else we have stayed. The food in the Thai restaurant was very good.

United KingdomRooms fun - padded red velvet and faux leather walls which was interesting but dark as lights more decorative than functional. No tea and coffee making in the room and soundproofing not great despite all the padding.
Quirky. Good friendly staff Liked the champagne on checking in. Bed comfy. Great shower with skylight and large copper bath.

United KingdomWe liked it all but the room as quirky/eclectic as it was ..was in need of an update and not practical. 1 double plug socket, sink was odd and had to empty the bowl into a stone sink unit and water hole in cabinet was tired and weird. Bath water come out of ceiling and there were stains around the material padded ceiling from this. Infinity bath but would have taken hours to fill and so much water and hard to get in/out as no handle and taps were on window ledge so had to lean right over to operate. Separate shower good though It didn't ruin our stay but could be improved. Bed was very comfortable but very dark for makeup and I'm not sure an open bathroom/room with the toilet is ideal
The staff/rean were amazing, friendly and welcoming and very accomodationg throughout our stay Thai restaurant food amazing Love the outside areas, and walk to farm shop. It's an experience and great to see

United KingdomExpensive.... Room was nice. But for the price slightly disappointing..... Very Clean & can't complain re quality but we both found for the cost slightly disappointing compared to other rooms shown in photos on website & Booking.com. Room was very dark without much lighting & whilst we accept they trying to get "sexy" ambience it was so dark could find/lost our stuff alot of the time...... Copper bathtub was "nice" but thought for the price of Room would get jacuzzi type bath in room. Water in bathtub tricled out & took ages to fill up.6 Very nice place but for the price of Room & restaurant expected more compared to other hotels we have stayed at offering the same type quality.
Staff very friendly

United KingdomThe room was very dark and the ceilings very low so we had to crouch, no mirror in the main bedroom or anywhere to sit to do hair and makeup so I had to sit in the floor. The waiter at breakfast was very rude.
Quirky and the first impressions of the room was that it was lovely! The receptionist was very friendly and helpful

United Kingdomstaying 2 nights was too much as it is so isolated and expensive. restaurant too crammed in - felt claustrophobic and awful heavy leather table clothes made it feel like you were trapped. At 375 per night , I'm sorry but a proper breakfast should be included not the mediocre continental... The bar was far too small - ok its listed, but on the Saturday night it was full of empties - not a good impressions. The room had a smell of drains, the doors was difficult to lock - no drawers? an iron and board just shoved into the wardrobe. Service in the restaurant was terribly slow and our a service charge of 13.5% - a joke! Some (not all) of the staff were less than friendly.
Quirky Friendly at reception

United KingdomBit tired in places. Bathroom was not good in our room. Cold and wet. Didn’t quite understand the bar absolutely laden with dirty glasses. Glass washer broken, Or part of the decor? Staff did their job but not overly attentive. However, the theme nights look amazing so would like to visit again to see if we are wrong and it was just a bad day.
Chosen for location and interested in seeing the hotel. Bar was quirky and fun.

United KingdomDinning room tatty with wall paper hanging off, and not comfortable for eating due to seating arrangements. Breakfast!!! would expect a cooked breakfast for the price paid. No extras in the room, not even a biscuit. Need at least one bright light in the room for getting ready, beautiful lighting but to dull.
The service from the staff was very good, and they made us feel welcomed, especially the very tall gentleman who served us our meal. The taxi service from our room and back was perfect.

United KingdomFor the amount of money paid, there wasn't even a small fridge in the room for drinks. Also the lighting in the room was so dim (I understand it's to set the mood etc) but an option to increase the lighting to get ready etc would have been great! Also bar area very small as we weren't dining. So we went into Oxford city centre instead for drinks
Very clean and lovely staff!
