There was a slight problem with the electrics but the owner has this in hand.

The location was very good and quiet. A beautiful older property with a lovely stained glass window in the hall way and the bedroom.

Warm welcome on entry into a beautiful home which is bursting with period features. The whole house has lovely high ceilings and our room was perfect. We had a hot shower and comfortable bed. The location was 10/10. We even parked on the gated drive.

We were awoken in the middle of our second night by the fire alarm, which I saw from an earlier review had happened to another guest as well. Neither he (per his post) nor I knew what actually caused it, but both were false alarms. We could have done without that!

The property and room were very impressive and quite comfortable. The street we were on was quiet and yet just a couple blocks away from all the goings-on - easy walking to restaurants, pubs with live music, shopping and sights. As the person who checked us in told us, free on-street parking is available over-night (5pm to 10am), but remember to pay RingGo if your car will remain any part of 10am to 5pm (2-4 pounds/hour sure beats a 50 pound ticket!)

The lack of communication with the host. Didn’t tell me anything to do with breakfast or if I can use the dining room. Just got handed my keys and that’s it up to my room. When I left nowhere to put my keys to check out.

I would have liked to have the heating on longer, not just a few hours in the evening. Unfortunately my room was next to the stairs by the reception which I dont like. Though, I cannot really complain about the noise, there was no steady speech or annoying sounds outside or in the building.

Very good location. Very nice, good atmosphere. Tidy, clean. The room with a double bed was decently sized, and equipped with all what I needed.

A fridge would be nice but in saying that it was still cool enough that we didnt have to refrigerate our cheese. Firstly can I just say I struggle with artificial fragrance so in a way this is my problem not theirs however I found it really hard to walk through the entrance and stairs. There were really strong, headache inducing fragrance sticks in oil, it was covering up cigarette smoke smell - I'm assuming a previous guest had smoked in there and they were trying to cover it up. I was waiting with the door open to the front one day because I was holding it for my elderly parents who had to walk a fair way from the car. I was quite rudely told to shut it because it was a security issue. I explained that I wasn't going to leave it unattended I was just waiting for my parents coming from the car plus it was good to give the room a good airing out! Car parking was also tricky. Sometimes we got lucky, sometimes we didn't. Overall our first staff member was polite but it all felt a bit cool like we were an inconvenience BUT to be fair some people just aren't overly friendly in nature and I'm used to super friendly Australians! It was something I experienced at many different places, tourist attractions and restaurants in Scotland. Just not as friendly as Aussies.

Great location. Very clean, room was very beautiful. Beds very comfy. Room was serviced every day. Actual room great and didn't have nasty fake smells like corridors.

My room was dusty. The tv and remote haven't been cleaned for a long time, if at all. The TV was installed on a lean and i could not get a watchable channel. There was wet carpet and a constant smell of rotten eggs. I was booked for another night after a 3 day Rabbies tour. The manager was not around when i left to pick up my tour so i was unable to explain these problems and request another room.

Location was good for my purposes.

I arrived just over 30 minutes early, and I was greeted by the lady who, after giving me the keys, asked what brought me to Inverness. After saying I was there for a wedding she kindly offered to iron my shirt for me. She was very friendly and helpful, and I would highly recommend staying there if you need to spend some time in Inverness.

Came back from a tour and was greeted much the same as my previous stay. Little said to me and pretty cold. I was in a different room this time, which meant I had to walk across the hall to use the shared bathroom. There was no cover for the top window so I was woken early by the light. There was a lot of street noise that I could here very clearly. The price it is and the fact that there is no breakfast makes it not worth it.

Shared bathrooms shower was not great, could do with replacing. It was a warm day, so I had my window open. The host was smoking right below, so it kept coming into my room. The TV wasn't working properly. The hosts were not really interested in you, no warmth or kind welcome.

Location was great, really close to everything you would want in inverness.
