They always seem to be a bit slow getting the yoghurt out int eh morning for some reason. I try and avoid cooked breakfasts and pastries, but a couple of times I've resorted to them from desperation. Still no yoghurt out when I left. A minor thing of course, but you would have thought that would have been pre-prepared the night before.

Customer Service was poor quality. I arrived at reception desk with a lot of heavy luggage/backpack, had to stand and wait for a prolonged time whilst the staff member at reception was chatting with another staff member. They both saw me and continued talking even after I stood directly at the desk. It was after few minutes that the second staff member has said to the reception staff to serve me that she did. Not a very warm welcome. The next day I saw an older lady struggle with her zimmer frame up the 3 steps between the lounge area with the fireplaces and the main reception hall. She was very distressed and had to use handrail and the walker interchangeably just to get up. No staff were able to assist/ show this lady accessible route to reception. Myself and one other guest have offered help. The door was wedged with a wooden doorstop and with the slightest knock on with the walker the doorstop moved and the door started closing on this lady as she struggling to walk through so myself and other guest had to help keep the door open.

The hotel is a lovely old Highland hotel and the room was clean and very well decorated and equipped. The price was great value for money.

Very hot in the room. It was warm outside at the time, but the place was uncomfortably hot for me.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Allowed a slightly late checkout so I could shower after a morning bike ride, which was much appreciated.

As always, parking is a problem and you have to squeeze in where you can; it would be really great if some of the gardens could be repurposed as a car park.

I regularly stay here when I visit the area. It is a good basic, old-style hotel with no serious drawbacks. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It is a grand building but it is a little dated. Could do with refurbishing but if that sort of thing does not bother you then it is fine.

The rooms and bathrooms are dated and could do with refurbishment. The floorboards are really creaky. The soundproofing is really poor so we didn't have a great sleep.

The room was large with a nice view over the garden. The bed was comfortable. The shower lacked power but was hot. The bar was nice and the beer garden great we had lunch outside which was very tasty and great value. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Especially the manager who served us lunch. The hotel is in a beautiful location and is dog friendly.

The room was comfortable but the furnishings were a little tired and would benefit from some modernisation.

We had a nice big room overlooking the front of the hotel. It had tea and coffee and a seating area in the bay window. The breakfast was very good. There was a lot of choice and it was well cooked/prepared. The staff were very friendly. We were only there one night but it was a good place to stay while breaking our journey south.
