Everything that you could possibly want or need was in the perfectly laid out chalet. So comfortable, peaceful & homely. Super comfy massive bed. Evelyn & Duncan were the perfect friendly & helpful hosts. The welcome pack was a lovely thoughtful bonus. Made our first visit to Skye one to remember.

The property is very beautiful and nicely decorated. The garden leading up to the door of the property gives the property a very serene vibe. The property has all amenities one can need and hosts left us some very nice snacks and groceries which is a very nice gesture from them. Superb stay, will recommend to everyone.

I can't fault any part of the stay! If you have any mobility issues, please be aware of the short journey up some steps to get to the chalet.

Craigard Chalet is a hidden gem if you would like to stay in Skye. The chalet is very clean, comfortable and modern. The kitchen is well appointed, there are smart TVs with a good WIFI connection throughout. Plus the views are excellent! Our hosts were welcoming and attentive - myself and our partner are both vegan and the welcome pack took this into account.

Craigard Chalet was the perfect base to explore Skye from. The chalet is modern, cosy, and quiet with everything you need for a comfortable stay, friendly hosts, and a handy location. Great to be able to do a bit of laundry too when you get in from a long day of hiking.

Duncan very kindly picked us up from the main road as the road to the chalet was very snowy. Helped us in with all of our stuff. Couldn't have been more accommodating. Really appreciated the welcome pack and lots of information about Skye inside. The chalet was very well equipped, clean and comfortable with fabulous views. Really well located to explore Skye.

There was nothing we didn't like!

We came to this location as a couple for our first Christmas away from family. To travel to the Chalet, we needed to drive from North Yorkshire in one day. This felt like it could be a difficult journey, but the stunning views and beautiful landscapes made the whole trip feel like an adventure! When we arrived, we were given a small basket of goodies on our arrival, such as bread, milk, butter and snacks and, as we were at the property for Christmas, a bottle of Prosecco! We were also given a lift from the owners on Christmas eve so we could make dinner plans in the town. This was an extremely kind gesture and this helped us make special memories for our first Christmas away from home! The local town of Portree is only a 5-10 minute drive from the Chalet and is a beautiful location for exploring and picking up souvenirs, and the surrounding small villages are a great way to explore Skye and get to know the amazing island. We would recommend this place to anyone, especially those looking for a quiet and comfy getaway who enjoy exploring! We couldn't have had a more perfect stay!

Nothing to dislike!

The property is great, a beautiful little chalet set up perfectly for two people, set in an excellent location just a short drive or bus journey from the main town on Skye - Portree, but tucked away enough up on a hill in a peaceful spot, and with the most stunning views over farmland, rolling hills and a beautiful loch. The layout of the chalet and all of the amenities within have been carefully thought through, and the hosts have catered for your every need. Every possible item you may need in kitchen, utility cupboard, bedroom and bathroom is provided and are all of top quality. The hosts have provided lots of very useful information in the chalet, about sights to see on Skye, walks, boat trips and much more. The entire chalet is immaculately clean - literally absolutely spotless. The chalet is clearly very well cared for and maintained to a very high standard, right down the the cut of the trees in the front garden so as not to obscure the views from the porch! Bluetooth speaker and Google nest are also great additions to the TV if you are spending time cooking or relaxing in the chalet. Coming back to this idyllic little place every evening after a day out exploring Skye was so relaxing; hot shower, comfortable cosy recliner chairs, a fabulous decked porch with a view to sit with a glass of wine, then a huge super comfortable bed to retire to. We felt ourselves relaxing more each day and really did not want to leave! Evelyn and Duncan were the perfect hosts, excellent communication pre-arrival, perfect balance of letting us know they were on hand for anything required, but also leaving us completely undisturbed to feel as if the chalet was our own home for the duration of our stay. A very generous welcome pack was provided for our arrival, which was a lovely touch too. Thank you for a fantastic week in Skye!

We loved our stay at Craigard. the chalet was fantastic. Beautiful views, cosy, we felt at home from the minute we arrived. The ‘welcome pack’ was much appreciated, we really enjoyed the tablet, and are now addicted to Mackies crisps! The location couldn’t have been better in our opinion. It was our first time in Skye and the chalet was perfectly placed to explore the island. Top tip…..look on the inside of the cupboard door for the chopping boards………..we only found them on the last day 🤣

Everything was amazing. Evelyn and Duncan thought of everything. The chalet is so nice, modern and comfortable that we barely convinced ourselves to get out and explore, and it was an absolute delight to stay in during the pouring rain that we got during our holiday. We were completely blown away by the facilities as well; having a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer was out of this world, and the wifi internet was better than what we have at home. The chalet is so well organised and so well thought with every bit of space well utilised while still feeling spacious and luxurious. Just brilliant.

The location is spot on for accessing many beautiful parts of the island, the chalet is cosy, welcoming, well equipped, private and overall feels like home. The views are absolutely stunning and the hosts so friendly and attentive. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again.

The chalet itself is absolutely amazing, all the details big and small. The location and view is incredible. We are so happy we found this place!! Duncan is also a huge highlight, he is a wonderful , caring host who went above and beyond to make our stay a dream come true. If you are planning a trip to Skye, this is the place to stay.
