We wanted to go for food after a busy day it was a shame we had to get back in the car. With a tired 3 year old the pubs are not in walking distance. A small shop would have been a good idea for the site. The pod was very very hot without the heating on.

Staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Pods were very clean and it was nice the area was separated from the tents and camper vans etc. it just makes it feel more like glamping. Welcome book was a great addition we choose or next days adventure because of it.

Little to complain of: the picnic tables under trees suffer from bird droppings but that’s hard to avoid anywhere. The cabin cushions are hard edged if used as a long pillow so I improvised with a rucksack and spare clothing.

The cabin was basic and fine, pretty much what I expected. The layout of the cabin area is convenient with parking and washroom block very close. The picnic tables alongside were handy for diy breakfast. The site location is good, in quiet farming countryside and a walk across fields to drop down into Leyburn. I liked that the cabins are named after the owner’s dogs and I met the dogs too!

This place is lovely. It does feel like a chilled private community of only a few sleeping pods and where possible privacy has been well thought through. My only personal concern is it was little uncomfortable for me in the mornings, when we were all sitting on the steps of our pods in a circle having to greet each other and interact. Part of communal camping, I guess - and everyone was super kind and careful so not a biggie but if you aren't a morning person and don't want to socialise it may feel weird. But sitting having a coffee watching the dogs make friends or just listening to the birds is worth the light-touch social awkwardness.

Easy escape from the hustle and bustle. Small site and closely managed so doesn't feel too rammed or busy. Quiet, natural spaces for the pods, with effort clearly invested to ensure the area around the pods remains well-kept, private, and restful. The walks from campsite are lovely and local town is perfect for a Saturday mooch, lazy brunch, or stop off for supplies. Dogs are truly welcomed and but no one seemed to assume we are all 'dog lovers' (I am not) and nice to have that respect from neighbours. I wld definitely recommend the pods for a spontaneous couple of nights away - embrace the peace and uncomplicated

There was cutlery but no utensils for food prep.

A very good nights sleep in a clean camping pod set in a charming wooded glen. Plenty of sockets for regular plugs and usb. Fridge was about silent and didn't disturb sleep, plus it had an ice box. Shoe rack, folding table, and hooks were all useful. The shower block was only a few steps away. It's two single beds plus the option to fill the gap in between with another single to make one big, solid sleeping platform. Good rural location.

I dont have a negative thing to say.

I loved the location. Really peaceful and yet so close to the nearest town leyburn. All the facilities were really clean so they have done a good job keeping on top of it. Owner was really friendly and on hand if you needed anything during your stay or advice on the surrounding areas. But also gave you the space that you needed to relax and enjoy yourself. Would highly recommend. We used it as a base to go out walking and the location was really practical, and very peaceful and some lovely views from the back of the pod looking out over the hill at sunrise and sunset.

There wasn't anything that I would like to comment on, it went beyond our expectations!

The speediness with communication, The presence and friendliness of staff The cleanliness of the pod and toilet block, and the general character of the setting, very fitting to the location. Big thumbs up, and already looking to book again in July.

Unfortunately we forgot to bring a fan and we were far too hot at night (that is completely our own fault). We tried to open the door to let some breeze in but were met with over 40 daddy long legs'. I think a bug net that could be fastened to the inside of the door with velcro strips would be an absolutely amazing improvement so that people can have their doors open at night time. Absolutely everything else was wonderful!

The location was wonderful and the people staying in the other pods were equally lovely. It was quiet and peaceful and close to a lot of great locations.

There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets between 4 pods and the rest of the campsite. They just aren’t enough ! Had to wait every time I went to the loo or showers. The pods could do with some bedside reading lights. The ceiling lights are too bright it means you can’t read if you fellow camper wants to settle down for the night. It states there is WiFi but it is slow … there is no WiFi ! Could not access at all. Thought £80/night was very expensive for no en suite facilities with very few shared facilities.

Lovely pods and we received a lovely welcome from the owner who worked so hard throughout our stay. The location is excellent and the pods were exceptionally clean. As it was cold and wet even in August the pod were cosy and warm.

The smell from the septic tank was unbearable in the morning and forced us to leave earlier than we had wanted to. Planned to sit outside and have breakfast but couldn’t. Forced to stay in with door closed and then left.

    Good location.
