The wait to order in the restaurant and the time it took to get food out was too long, and in timing staff were not always that good (although I thought they might be understaffed and this could easily be remedied). The food was on the whole excellent, but my friend ordered a Raspberry Kranekan which had no oats, so was basically just raspberries and cream. Particularly disappointed as she expects this dish to have an alcoholic ingredient which was also missing.

We would have liked more information in the room about the hotel and the surrounding area with information about bus services and walks close to the hotel. There were tea and coffee sachets available in the room but no biscuits which would have been a good addition. Perhaps some sofas downstairs in the seating area would have added comfort.

The hotel was pristine and had comfortable places to sit and have a coffee from the Starbucks cafe or the Scholars restaurant to have a meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was great and very peaceful - out of the city but with a good bus service in. There are lovely walks from the hotel into the countryside.. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower room was also good though the shower itself was not very powerful, possibly because we were on the 5th floor. All in all a very good location for a stay in Stoke or Newcastle. We very much enjoyed our visit

Nothing for a short stay, but for a longer stay it would be great to have a pool!

Excellent modern hotel set in a surprisingly rural location with great views from the upper floors. Bedroom was very comfortable and well equipped. Great choice at breakfast and a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant.

A very nice stay with good sized king room, big TV and generous bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the staff very polite and helpful. Easy to get to, good drop off zone and plenty of parking.

We had a great stay here, the perfect location for us. 5 minute walk to where we needed to be. Hotel room was spotless and the bed so comfortable. 100% recommend this hotel if need accommodation for visiting the university or places near by.

Little expensive in the restaurant, we were going to find a nice pub restaurant to have our evening meal, but as we were both really hungry, we couldn't be bothered to try and look for somewhere, so had a meal in the hotel, not a massive choice on offer but what we had was nice, if a little bit pricey.

The toaster made soggy toast even though the sign claims that they have it set just right to make perfect toast!

The room was clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. I liked the fact that as "a woman of a certain age", I could control the room temperature and turn it right down. I was also impressed by the shower, the controls were on a different wall entirely to the shower which means you don't get wet when turning it on! The staff were really helpful and understanding. I was staying with my little boy before attending an Assessment Day at the Caudwell Children's Centre.
