Really liked the relaxed bar area with sofas but this area was very small so if there were some more comfy seating areas that would be even better

staff could be better trained, reception didn't say we could pre authorize a card so couldn't put anything to the room had to pay as you go, they seemed more interested in putting a Christmas tree up and ignored us. . had a suite but they don't provide water and milk, just empty jugs you have to leave the room to fill up at a water/milk station somewhere, not much use once you have got ready for bed.

I felt the spa facilities were quite basic compared to the hotel when we arrived I felt the spa reperatatied a leisure centre due to how open it was due to children which can't be helped I understand but was not useful when needed to relax and felt the Jacuzzi controls should be near to pool as jets kept going off I would also like to add that I think more lounge chairs to be provided on poolside as I did not appreciate the tables around poolside compared to the hotel look out self I felt the spa was lacking in luxury looks

The food provide was delicious and was very much enjoyed due to the variety and amount offered the room was very clean and provide a good size toilet area and was very happy with the cleaning service that was provided by the staff which we felt all staff were very positive helpful and made are experience very pleasant this was my highlight of my stay the staff

Having to pay to use the pool and facilities when you have already paid for the hotel Also, I booked breakfast through bookings.com and was not told I had to pick a time to go down, when I asked about breakfast the struggled to get me booked in even though I had paid.

The bed was comfy, I liked that you could have fresh milk for tea and coffee and that there was little plastic waste.

A bit more variety on the food menu, the fishcake salad was very small for a main meal.

Very clean and comfortable with nice thoughtful touches. Fresh milk on tap, lovely big Cheshire mugs. Pillow spray and White Company products.

There was no room service after 9 30pm and the bar had no snacks not even a bag of Crisps Also the Housekeepers came in our room twice before check out time.

The rooms were lovely. The bed was especially comfortable.

Wash basin in bathroom was blocked and it took several days before this was unblocked. When dialling Reception before my visit - on a Sunday, the phone was not answered and rang out constantly on several attempts. Also a few times on dialling Reception from my room the phone was ringing for ages to the point where I gave up.

Quiet room. Flying visit with lots to achieve but would have enjoyed spa & pool - may be next time. Friendly staff in all areas.

I found it difficult to see with the lighting provided in the bedroom. Although the bed side light and the reading light were ok.
