The pillows were a bit soft for our tastes, but it's a minor quibble. Be aware that the spiral staircase might challenge those with less mobility. Apart from that, there is nothing to dislike about this adorable property.

Woodview is a beautiful little cottage in the heart of Compton Martin, with easy access to the hills and valleys of the surrounding countryside. It was immaculately kept, warm and cosy. Rachel and Roo are perfect hosts. They had provided us with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits all of which were gratefully received after a long journey and a late arrival. The cottage is gorgeous, with large flagstones and beautiful furniture. Everything you could need was provided. We made dinner on our arrival and everything worked perfectly. There was even a lovely log-burning fire should the weather turn chilly. All in all, we had an absolutely delightful stay and I wouldn't hesitate it to recommend anyone who wants to stay in the area.

As dog lovers, the only thing I could possibly say in this paragraph was that we didn't get to meet Treacle!

Was met in person by Roo, who gave us a very warm welcome and handed over the keys. He had even laid the fire for us. The place is of the highest standard and full of character and lovely details. Very difficult not to feel calm and cosy while staying here.

A word of warning, if you have mobility issues there are some very steep circular stairs to get to the bedroom.

The property was beautiful with excellent views, both windows in the bedrooms. There was easy and direct access to the local pub (which was excellent).

Cosy stone cottage in a beautiful setting. Clean and well fitted out, especially the kitchen. Great place to relax and good base for exploring the surrounding area. Rachel and Roo were friendly and helpful too!

Bed was a bit too soft for our taste and there was no shower gel. But that's nothing to complain about compared to all the other amenities the cottage offered! We loved it.

A hidden gem! Perfect rural location. Hosts were lovely, responsive. Very clean and cozy. It has everything you need and more! Never stayed in a better equipped accomodation. Truly amazing. Wood for fireplace was provided, kitchen had anything you'd need for cooking - so many spices! Could even make a cocktail as there were all types of glasses, shaker, even ice in the fridge! Couldn't believe it, it was a home away from home .. smart TV with netflix account for guests, nice touch. Great showery hot and powerful , spacious. Clean!!! Really great experience, sad we only stayed for one night! Thank you!

Nothing! It was great! Some people may struggle with the narrow spiral staircase.

Everything there that we needed - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and more....so even if we hadn't already shopped, we would have been ok for basics for a couple of days. The house is very cosy - Freeview channels so you can log on to your own accounts and watch what you want, and everything (toilet paper, washing up liquid etc) is eco friendly. There's a good pub within 5 mins walk.
