Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe hotel was not disability friendly. Too many stairs. Shared toilets on different floor levels. No wardrobe. Completely on line. And no staff easily available. My room was on thirf floor and no lifts. Not very comfortable for an over 75 with both knee damage. On line booking did not mention that the place had no lifts and was not disability friendly. I understood I had booked a bed and breakfast place. There were no breakfast facilities or breakfast.
Bed was clean. Room was very basic. Location not too bad but far from tourist attractions.

The room was nice however I was absolutely discusted when I saw the bedding provided, both Duvets had what I would describe as brown smears across them, and they smelt horrendously, unfortunately I did not get the time to mention this to a staff member as when it was discovered it was very late at night after returning to the hotel, so both myself and my friend ended up sleeping without a duvet. I am absolutely gobsmacked that this is acceptable.

United KingdomWindows are old, heavy, single glazed and did not have mechanism to keep it open. Room smelt of cigarette smoke and could not open window to help clear it. Bathroom small and no window. Loud engine or motor running outside window which could be heard constantly day and night. No hairdryer. Plug in sink would not hold water in sink. Self checkin and no contact with staff so missed personal approach.

United KingdomTV - not a smart tv instead a cabel connected that worked depending on the weather. The engineer came quick to fix (bless him). He could not do much....not his fault. Simply very old stock. Kettle- got an old, burned kettle. I put water on and the whole room smelled for hours. Yes, they brought a new kettle quick but still awful experience. Bathroom has 0 Privacy. Sliding, closet door. Walls thin. I could hear snoring of my next door neighbour through the walls from my bed.
Location is good. Bed was nice and clean.
