The staff were amazing as they solved a problem that we encountered while staying there and were very apologetic that it happened. Even though it was out of their control.

Needs a good clean. The room I stayed in had coffee and tea stains on walls, down curtains, scuff marks all over the wall. A scruffy damaged window blind. A very strange smell so had to keep windows open. The bath panel was water damaged and rotting. The hallway carpets were filthy.

The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice. However the meal we paid for in the evening was extortionate for what it was. £19 for fish and chips. We opted for tea and coffee instead of a cold drink with our meal as we had just had one in the bar prior. And they cost £9 when we had tea and coffee in our room. Then we were charged a service charge making our bill a very expensive £51 for fish and chips. This, i believe should be optional.

A long walk with a lot of stairs down to get to my room which would be a real challenge to anyone not fully able. Not being a fan of the full English breakfast I opted for smashed avocado with roasted tomato and chilli. I asked for only a small amount of chilli but was told it was already mixed in. I find very hot food challenging and sadly I couldn't eat it when it came.

A very comfortable room with a door out to the grounds (somewhat marred by workment making quite a noise!). Bathroom was well equipped, the shower was powerful and hot. No plug in the sink which was a surprise. Staff really helpful. The breakfast buffet had fresh watermelon, pineapple and blueberries, a range of yoghurts and a few small pastries. The a la carte had a full range of cooked breakfasts, but see below.

Location perfect for short trip to Wembley. Bed was comfy, room was clean.

Bar staff miserable. We had an afternoon tea £70 for 2. Probably the worst £70 I have spent in my life. Lovely old building with bags of character. Decent breakfast when served to table. 2nd day was buffet self service constantly waiting for items.

perhaps the railway station could be a little closer getting into London was cheap and there are many shops and all types of food is readily available there are some nice walks close by as well.

the hotel was very nice and was in a very nice setting very peaceful on the whole in a woodland setting, inside was light and airy check in and departure were excellent and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

Breakfast time was really busy & the staff really tried to keep the guests happy but unfortunately the speed of the food coming out from the kitchen slowed everything down.

The staff were all amazing. Absolutely outstanding. The proximity to central London without being in central London was fabulous.

Bathroom was a bit dated but was clean and everything worked.

Only stayed for one night room only to attend a concert in Wembley Arena which is about 20 min drive away, great location with well maintained gardens surrounding an amazingly grand hotel with a winding drive from the road to the main entrance. In the reception area full of old original features and wood beams. Easy quick check in with pleasant staff, our room was over looking the rear garden lovely room soft thick carpet , comfy bed , safe , tv, tea and coffee, ironing facilities. Can highly recommend a stay here and hopefully will do so again ourselves. Ideal location and facilities for weddings, family get togethers and also corporate functions

Accessibility would be an issue for some, but the hotel are very clear about this in their communication with you at the time of booking

It has a lovely feel to it, we were lucky to have had good weather which always helps! The dining room and bar area are lovely, and the ambiance at breakfast was highlighted by the fact that we were staying at the time of the D-Day 80 Commemoration. All of the staff that we met with were friendly and helpful, particularly the ever-present Martin. The beds were super comfortable, a real bonus after a long flight up from Australia. Our booking didn’t include breakfast, but at just £15 per person, it was very good value and we had a great cooked breakfast each morning to set us up for the day ahead. This hotel, for the price we paid, provided excellent value for a visit to London. We parked at the commuter parking at the shopping centre next to Edgware Station for our trips into London on the Underground. Stanmore station is closer but we weren’t sure about the availability of parking there so we opted to go to Edgware instead. There are some lovely walks around the hotel grounds and adjacent countryside. We only stayed for 3 nights due to our sc, but we would have happily stayed longer if time had permitted. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and a credit to everyone involved, thank you!

It was not clear on booking.com that we would be charged extra for children’s beds and the cot. This followed in an email after booking, which is misleading when booking.

Lovely room, with very friendly staff, Amin in particular went above and beyond to ensure we as a family had everything we needed.
