Breakfast was very basic indeed. Poor quality of product - cheap. Noise above my room not great & road traffic loud. The room was basic, needs an update. Check out was poor, nobody around to help assist.

Check-in was very good. The young fella was very helpful & friendly. Good size room. Bed comfortable.

Checking in, I was asked to fill out forms which I already did on line. The front door was closed so we walk around. There are quite a few steps to enter the hotel and two entrances . There was no rain so our suitcases stayed outside as we were checking in and then entered the hotel through the other door (also with steps). The whole process would be a nuisance if it was raining.

Comfortable B&B conveniently located on a main bus route in a safe area, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Staff friendly and helpful.

I can’t judge too much since I just slept here…it is certainly an older property but very affordable so if you aren’t too picky I would overlook that. I could not figure out how to turn on the shower (it was 3am so I didn’t ask) so I would have a card with directions in the bathroom (different set up from US shower system)

I stayed here the night before an early flight the next morning. Convenience to a bus was great. It is also a straight shot to Old Town from here.

The hallways are a bit shabby, decor needs an upgrade.

We were given a room upstairs even though ground floor was requested. The staircase had furniture on the landing and the handrail was wobbly making it difficult to negotiate with luggage.. the rooms were very dated and not well cleaned with cobwebs etc. the staff were not very responsive to any requests. Definitely did not feel there was value for money at this stay.

There was free street parking nearby for our car. Close to a bus stop for the 20 minute trip into the centre of the city. There was a very nice cafe just a short walk away.

Mold in shower, room got sprayed with a refreshner wich was a total overkill. Chairs were old and damaged. Really noisy, single glas in windows so you here the cars drive as early as 3.30 in the morning. The karaoke bar across the street is so loud, you can singalong.

The room was a very nice size for a family with 2 kids. Water pressure of shower was nice. 20minutes from city centre with taxi.

The bathroom window was over looked as on the main road could do with curtain or blind as I felt open and uncomfortable there was a beautiful fireplace but there was a desk in front of it needs a little touch up on walls I would stay again

The location was perfect for sightseeing - a bus stop was right outside the hotel (and you could easily travel to both city centre and airport). Our room was quite big - a queen bed and a single for 2 people, a private bathroom (which for the price offered was really nice). The staff let us leave our backpacks earlier than check-in time, we also could leave in the middle of the night. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Really spacious room for the four of us and was ideal location for murrayfield which is a short bus journey away.

- no secured luggage storage; luggage can be left public lounge on day arrival/departure (we ended up renting lockers downtown) - uncomfortable matras - only one tiny small window in roof (no view) - room needed an update - admittedly all rooms in Edinburgh were outrageously expensive that week due to a Taylor Swift concert. Hopefully regular rates are a lot less than 159 GBP/night/single use

- Room was quiet (facing the backside) - daily cleaning - small common area where colleagues and I could sit and work - bus stop almost in front of hotel with airlink to airport and tegular buses to the city centre (35 minutes)

Ir was all fine. Some traffic in the street, but that didn’t bother us. We parked the car in one of the smeller streets.

Nice room and bathroom, friendly lady og the house, easy to find, breakfast was very good - only eight minutts drive from the airport, it had e thing we needed.

Soap in the shower didn't have a good smell... luckily we brought something else we could use. A mini bar in the room would have been nice to have, to keep drinks and other things cold. Pillows weren't great, but depends what you're used to I suppose. Furniture dated, but no big deal.

Room (family suite) was extremely spacious. Location was fantastic. Free parking on side street nearby was easy, always lots of space. Shower worked well. We didn't have breakfast there, but it smelled fantastic. Staff made everything easy.

It was a bit confusing to get there initially because of the two entrances with slightly different signs.
