A mentioned previously, no option of an early breakfast or a late dinner. We could only get crisps at 21h.

WE could not get berakfats because it started at 09h and we had to leave at 8h30. They could not accomodate for an early breakfast.

Extremely comfortable and very friendly. The food is the best pub food in Britain. This is my second visit as we have family friends in the village.

We stayed in room 4, and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom.

We loved staying in such a gorgeous cosy pub. We loved how simply the rooms have been decorated, preserving the character of the old house. Carlo and the other members of the staff were kind and helpful.

I would have loved to have had some gluten free sausages with my cooked breakfast as I did tell the owners beforehand that I would like a gluten free breakfast - but the breakfasts were delicious!

The cottage was warm, comfortable and felt like a home from home! The breakfast was delicious and at a a perfect time! We walked from the Compasses Inn to Tisbury and back again through beautiful countryside, it was an idyllic stay!

Host and staff all very helpful and accommodating during our stay. The family room was very clean, lovely decor, cozy beds and bathroom all good..all made the more welcoming by the homemade cookies in the room. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn, all of which was first class (product and cooking), against the tranquil setting of the open fire. Overall , fully recommend a weekend away or overnight stay (as we did) in the Compasses Inn , all the comfort, quality and warmth one requires when looking for a relaxing stay.

    Couldn’t fault a thing!

A truly beautiful place, we stayed over Christmas and the had the most delicious dinner beside the roaring fire. We then retreated to the cottage which was just stunning, incredibly cosy, beautifully decorated and so well equipped. The perfect size for 4 adults and a young child. We could have stayed all week! Breakfast the following morning was a delight. We can’t wait to book again

One minor thing, on one day (and only one day) the shower was not hot and at one point the water stopped. But as I say this is very minor.

room 4 was directly over the pub and there appeared to be no sound insulation at all, so the convivial pub sounds filled the room at full volume until closing time, making it impossible to sleep until 11pm. room 3 was much quieter.

it was quaint, pretty and festive. breakfast was excellent.
