Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was exceptional and the host was very friendly welcoming us. It was a wonderfully quirky boutique hotel and the room was very lovely.

United KingdomThe room was very well heated during the day, but the temperature dropped at night significantly. Unfortunately, there was no additional blanket. If we'd stayed for longer than one night, we would've asked the owner for additional bedding. Also, the shower is angled high and towards the very corner of the shower and gas lost its markings on the dial. So while lovely, you didn't feel the benefit

Had a lovely stay. The guesthouse has been nicely done up, and I loved the art work. The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet, I didn't see anyone outside of when I first arrived at the property.

United KingdomDespite the large size of the bathroom the shower enclosure is really small. A couple of hooks on the door for wet coats would be useful.
Colson House is run by two very helpful and friendly hosts. The location is excellent, in the heart of Kemptown and really close to the sea. The room was smallish as expected but had a surprisingly spacious shower room upstairs. The house is characterful as are the rooms. The decor and furnishings are immaculate. No breakfast provided but Wolfox cafe round the corner on St James’s Street serves an amazing breakfast/brunch menu with great coffee.
