If I’m being really picky a shelf in the bathroom for your toiletries would have been useful.

Location is perfect a short walk to Bootham Gate and your in the centre of the city. Room was very quirky loved it. Very clean lovely bathroom. Breakfast very good provided in hampers to eat either in your room or in the lounge.

That we didn’t find it sooner! My daughter has already done a year at York university. How did we miss this absolute gem!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Loved the quirkiness of this B&B in a fantastic central location. The theatrical themed bedroom was fabulous. The bathroom is stunning. The breakfast hampers are another lovely unique idea and having the option to have them delivered to our room was great. So many little extras in both the lounge area and the bedrooms show how much attention to detail the owners have given. Really happy to have found this beautiful place to stay. Will definitely be back.

If I had to pick at straws, then one complimentary in room bottle of mineral water per guest would have been appreciated. That said, the Guesthouse tuck shop provisions include bottled water that can be purchased. If you prefer your water chilled then. Sainsbury's local is about a 2 mins away.

Everything was perfectly organised and extremely well thought out by the hosts. This was a little gem of a find, which I was very lucky to stumble upon. There was absolutely nothing else I believe should be adjusted or tweaked to improve the guest experience. I felt like a valued customer. Thank you Minster Walk.

Home from home feeling as soon as you walked in. Lovely help yourself food areas. Room was very cosy had everything you could need with information leaflet available.

Loved everything

Lovely big room, comfy bed and view from the window of the cathedral. Also had a lovely tub to use with shampoo/conditioner. Best thing about the hotel is you can park (if booked) at 11am and also check in at the same time. Our room wasn’t ready but they still give you the key so when it’s ready at 1 you can go straight to your room. This was the best as we were only in York for the day so didn’t want to have to wait to park/ worry about walking back to check in. Breakfast was in a lovely hamper and could enjoy it in bed! The hotel is also located near the river for a lovely walk to the centre.

Another great stay at the Minster Walk. Great location to train station and centre of york. Lovely little touches such as complimentary tea and sweet treats in lounge, umbrellas to borrow, toiletries to use. Breakfast is hot and delicious. Either breakfast in bed delivered in a basket or eat in the lounge. Staff friendly and jolly. Stayed in room 4 with a Minster view, great size room and bathroom.

Would of been good to have hooks on doors or in bathroom and toilet roll holder with room and bathroom being small.

We would have appreciated that the soap, shampoo, and conditioner were placed somewhere else and not in the floor of the shower area.

Have stayed here before so brought the kids to enjoy the place. They loved it and was as brilliant as it was before. Central location so a good walking distance for little legs, great breakfast and comfortable. Kids loved the sweets and games and want to visit again.

Location was brilliant, a short walk from the train station & also into York. Like the relaxed feel of the guesthouse, the communal space for playing games and the fridge and breakfast delivered to my room in the morning.

If you have a big suitcase it could be tricky negotiating it round the furniture. (Luckily I'd had the common sense not to travel with a big case...)

Perfect location as near centre of York but down a quiet street. Breakfast delivered in a basket to your room or in the lounge area, which was a lovely touch. Love the attention to detail in the decor etc. Face cloths for removing makeup was clever (saved the white towels!)

Great location within walking distance of the City centre. Parking was a bonus. Lovely large room and very clean and comfortable. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The tuck shop is a good idea.
