Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomMy room could have been better. The bathroom was cramped, and the shower too. I couldn't use the shower gel and conditioner without removing them from the wall holders. There was very little drawer space for my clothes. I loved the communal spaces in the hotel, but not my room. That could benefit from modernization.
Perfect location for Clifton and the City. Good transport options, but also walkable to harbour and Downs. Great outdoor bar, staff fabulous and attentive. Nice old building, in typical Bristol style. Love that hotel provides free, fresh fruit.

Lovely comfy stay. Lovely staff. Pillows helped my stiff neck.. Would recommend. Would loved to have tried the dining experience but no time. Menu looked excellent.

United KingdomI believe the rooms are being updated which will improve things somewhat (bedside plug sockets would be welcome). Bathroom somewhat cramped.
Nothing but professionalism from all the staff. Such a lovely welcome from Sofia & Africa when we checked in & regular fussing for our doggy from Ellie & Katie. Really cosy reception area with settees, where food & drink orders from bar next door was possible. Regarding the room: Very comfy bed & great power shower. Filter coffee & cafetière was a lovely touch also.

United KingdomI had to change room on arrival because the first one I was checked into was in poor condition. The second room was much nicer, but there were small issues like mould inside the shower gel dispenser and one of the towels appeared (smelled) not to have been properly washed, etc. which decreased the level of comfort. The rooms could do with a bit of TLC to match the nice vibe of the restaurant. The breakfast for £15 is expensive for what you get - the cooked part was nice but the buffet is limited. Would have been nice to have water or a refillable bottle in the room.

United KingdomIt gets so hot and as its grade II listed doesn’t have air conditioning. The desk fan provided was thick with dust so was unusable - not much that could be done when you wake in the middle of the night. For the price they could do with upgrading fans or investing in Dyson or similar.
The local is ideal, has a restaurant and provides complimentary water at the front bar.
