We had a wonderful stay with the Clarkes. Suzanne was an excellent host answering many many inquiries as we traveled up the road. She combined every single request without complaint was very gracious and doing so. Recommend staying here in the future when you come to Edinburgh.

Location good for touring, attentive and friendly hosts, excellent tasty well served scottish big breakfast included haggis and black pudding, other choices available. Enjoyed powerful shower, breakfast best while touring, chats with suzanne and colin, location for ease of getting about, off-road parking.

Just a minor issue. The room just needs new pillows and new sheets please. Other than that everything is perfect.

The place exceeded our expectation. Amenities are good, wifi is fast plus smart TV. Clean and comfy rooms. Easy check in and Suzy was very friendly and accomodating!

Lack of electrical sockets for charging phones,iPads etc. All other facilities were good.

The individuality of the breakfast table. The personal touch of feeling welcome there as I was a single person staying on my own.

Hosts made us feel very welcome, the room was lovely and breakfast was exceptional. It is close to train and bus links and there is a great local pub along the road called the Elizabethan.

Didn’t really find anything wrong with the place but I know that the rooms had quite thin walls of which you could hear occasionally walking up and down in the corridor but it didn’t affect me as I was the only one staying there at the time so that’s all .

Great value for the money paid! The location was great as I had a hospital appointment very early in the morning it’s only about 12 minutes walk away since I can’t drive this worked out great, staff incredibly welcoming and helpful. The house is quite near a main road but you couldn’t hear the traffic at all so I slept really well. I didn’t have the breakfast as I had to leave early but the whole place looked very clean and just nice to be there , I would definitely stay there again and recommend as a place to stay for my family and friends wanting to travel further north .

A homely BnB with all needed comforts & amenities at a good price.

The Twin room that I reserved was facing the street which can be a concern if you are noise-sensitive, as I am, however this did not prove to be an issue. It is something to be aware of for those reserving in warmer months who may want to keep the window open.

The property is located within easy walking distance of the Dunfermline Queen Margaret Railway station and several bus stops that can get you into town and back in under ten minutes. There is also a walking path that runs parallel to the main road and can bring you into town in about 30 minutes on foot. The proprietor was very kind and explained everything clearly. The setting was very cozy, with homely decor, comfortable furniture and wood accents. The dining area was beautiful with wood beams and natural light. The structure is right off a busy street but the sturdy walls and double glazed windows do a remarkable job of blocking the noise even at street level. The room was prepared in advance with both fresh air and a comfortable temperature. The in-room mini-fridge and ensuite (private bathroom) were extremely helpful. Room also included a place to sit, built-in wardrobe, television, desk space, alarm clock and bed-side table lamp. Black out curtains did a good job of blocking the light from the street, and the bed was very comfortable. The place felt very clean, safe and secure. Both pillows provided were a bit firm for me, and since I like some weight to the bedding the single duvet was a bit light, but I slept well nonetheless and I expect that additional blankets would have been provided had I requested them. The hot and cold bathroom taps are separate and a bit short, but the wash basin was nice and large. A shelf to set things would have been convenient. The water pressure of the shower was neither high nor low and the temperature was sufficiently hot, although it seemed to ignore my adjustments to increase it. I did hear a bit of activity outside the room in the morning, but it was muffled.

Everything was really great, really clean and very helpful and friendly owners. Very quick responses to any email queries. Beds very comfortable 😴. I didn't have transport so it was a wee walk to shop/food area but still walkable. All in all I've stayed twice now and would definitely recommend.
