Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room wasn’t properly cleaned in our 4 days there. We came back one day and saw the cleaning cart right outside our door - so we went and sat in the lounge for 30 mins. Came back - cleaning cart and chambermaid gone. Room wasn’t touched. We had a change of towels and bed turned down one day - I had to go look for clean towels another day. Also - on floor 2, the carpet was badly stained on our walk from the elevator to our room. Staining still there 4 days later. Not a good look…….. And one morning, we asked for directions to a number 42 bus. We were sent on a 40 min walk (she said 6 mins to Limehouse, I assume she was looking at travel by car - even though she knew we were walking). We were given directions by someone at Limehouse to go back to where we started and get the 42 bus just round the corner from the hotel. My husband was spitting feathers when we were told that!
Location. Breakfast. Quirky decor. We like the hotel for its location and its easy access by tube or bus to other parts of London.

United States of AmericaDisliked · I would have enjoyed a "complimentary" plain ordinary filtered cup of coffee in the morning. I didn't like paying 3 Sterling Pounds for it. I also didn't know there was a time limit to request our room to be cleaned - we stayed 3 nights and although we were conservative with towel usage, we only had our room freshened once.
Liked · We LOVED the price, location, the proximity to the train station, we enjoyed the 7th floor bar twice, the peace and quiet of our room and the 24 hour availability of food and drink downstairs. IT was literally perfect and described very well. My husband was very happy so that made me happy. We would have never have known about Katherine's Docks if the staff didn't recommend it. So I was glad that staff can help with local suggestions. We did get lost coming back from the Sky Garden so may be warn guests that it is easy to get lost in London.

NetherlandsOur bed was only accessible from one long side, I was travelling with my daughter so it did not bother me that much but elderly people might have some issues getting in and out of bed.
We had great view on the Tower castle, staff friendly and right next to the metro and train station

Everything! Fantastic super friendly staff, great breakfast, great coffee, fun surroundings, comfortable rooms, fantastic views from 7th floor... Lots of little touches that make a big difference. My 4 year old son loved the red balloon dog in the room.

CanadaThe only down point would be the size of the room. I know it is the same for all rooms but wish that I had the tower of London view to compensate :-D

Czech RepublicThe location is perfect - right at the subway station in the city center, breathtaking view over The Tower from the room as well as from the rooftop terrace and bar. Trendy and cosy lobby. Very clean. English breakfast, all fresh and tasty. Great choice for someone who has only 2 days to see London - you really get best value and time efficiency for your money.

United KingdomThe view of the atrium wasn’t as exciting as the street view but the blinds were great.
The relaxed feel and gorgeous look of the place as you walk in really was so welcoming it made us not want to leave. The views from the bar balcony were amazing - especially at night.

GermanyArrival and check in was supported by a friendly Ambassador who guided me through the self-check in procedure. The room was small yet well apportioned for a solo traveler. It would have been small for 2, as the bed was against the window and one would have to crawl over the other to use the facilities. The breakfast was well selected and the location just behind the Tower of London with a fantastic view from the roof top terrace in the evenings an added bonus.

United KingdomLifts were hit and miss with responsiveness, on 2 of the occasions we used them we used the stairs, and one occasion stood on floor 4 with a small crowd as the lift didn't respond for a number of minutes before finally moving and going past past. I Pad in the room was slightly hit and miss too, brilliant one minute and laggy the next...but overall the experience was generally pretty great!
The view was amazing, the room itself was great also. Breakfast, staff and comfort couldn't be bettered, and the View and location simply topped it off!! Will definitely be back

United States of AmericaThe door to the bathroom had a very loud squeak when opened, which was surprising. Also did not care for the robot like voice with a running commentary in the elevator. it was supposed to sound “hip” apparently, but felt creepy and annoying, imho.
The room was very nice for one person, but would probably have felt cramped for two. Not much closet space. The bed alongside a large window was great. Location of the hotel was wonderful, and the view from the rooftop bar was exceptional. The beverages at the bar were expensive, but so is London. Enjoyed the breakfast, which had quality items , and was available at 6 am Also enjoyed the beautiful and spacious public areas.
