A lovely country house hotel . Very clean. The staff were all very polite and very helpful. We had a lovely 2 course meal for £32 , the dining room was clean and spacious . The bar was very well stocked . Staff were attentive they gave you space and did not impose themselves on us . The food was delicious . Our breakfast again in the dining room was laid.out in the bar are _ self service buffet all element of cooked breakfast were hot and nicely displayed . Cereal , fresh melon pastries and yoghurt. At the table staff asked if we would like drinks and toast. Our room number 10 was massive , great sized bathroom bath shower and toilet were all modern . We really enjoyed our stay.

Everything was very good so nothing to not like

The staff was really friendly. Breakfast was super good . The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed a good hot bath after strolling the beautiful surroundings. It felt like a Jane Austin Bridgerton experience

Looks a little tired from the outside and rooms could do with some TLC…old fashioned wooden look seat, stained toilet (under water line). Badly tiled in places. Carpet rushed up by door.

Fabulous location, superb food and exceptionally good staff. Room rate was reasonable and included breakfast which was very good. Dinner was excellent value, served with care, great food, well presented. Nice comfortable bar area, again with attentive staff.

Although I loved the stay as an overall, there is always room for improvements. The toiletries are quite basic (which doesn’t include a conditioner if you want to wash your hair and the body wash and shampoo are the same washing liquid). The room cleaning was lower than expected (found shaved hair in the bathroom when arrived).

The staff is amazingly friendly and always ready to help. Our room was super spacious and fitted us perfectly for the weekend. The breakfast doesn’t have many items but is what you need and is delicious. I really enjoyed my stay.

Standard size double bed, not a complaint , as advertised as a double room but room size could easily take a king size . Breakfast could have been hotter and some items ( fruit / yoghurt) had run out and were not replaced .

Sound of overhead water tanks filling up until 11.30pm and then again from 6.30am onwards the following morning. Reported problem to night-man but there was nothing he could do to alleviate as " no spare rooms" (we were Rm 19 top floor)

Very nice private grounds. Friendly staff, nice decor. My room was very comfy. Big windows, nice bathroom etc etc. Lots of small thoughtful touches. Also great breakfast.

A tray for the cups. The only clock was on the telephone which the numbers far to small to see. The shower screen was full of scum, which only needs some LimeLite to clean. The bath needs replacing, and the toilet seat would not lift up without tugging and then the underneath stops had perished and were filthy. Taps on the basin also needs LimeLite. Just generally needs a new bathroom. Pillows were odd.

The breakfast was really lovely. The lounge was laid out really nicely.

Black out blinds would have been good but that’s only coz we had such a lovely big window and fab weather so it was a nice problem to have
