Size of the room. I suppose I should have checked size from photos. Considering I had spent a lot of money to hire room and meals, drinks etc for the party I thought at least I'd have got a better room.

We had booked for a 70th party. The conservatory room we had for the party was excellent and suited us. Staff were very friendly and helpful even the chef helped when a guest changed his mind for the pre booked meals. The room we booked was a bit small and there was no seating in the room. It was clean and comfortable. Couldn't get the shower to work, no hot water would come out only cold. Had a birthday bath instead.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular the reception desk staff Annmarie was excellent. She went above and beyond to help me with my bookings and feeling comfortable at the hotel

The room smelt of smoke but we were above an exit door. The light switches are difficult to find in the night as they are very small.

The staff on reception at 10.50pm were very welcoming and allowed us to purchase a drink before closing the bar. The bedding was very comfortable and there were tea and coffee making facilities.

The place is slowly improving in look and feel but the noise issues are a problem. Loud and audible neighbouring rooms, smokers smells that seeped into my room just ruin the tranquil vibes - and that's mid-week. The beds are old and hard, the hot water problem...OMG they really REALLY need to fix the shower situation in the rooms. I don't know what the issue is, as the showers in the spa area were fine. Barely a trickle of hot water in the lodge. And finally, please don't write "stone baked pizza" on the restaurant menu then offer a cheap frozen pizza with a broken base that looks like it was dropped on the floor (and doesn't taste much better)

Cannot complain about enjoying an outdoor hot tub on the first snowy morning of the year. The full woodland vibes are nice, the spa and swimming facilities, sauna and steam room on site overlooking the lake are good.

The log cabins are deceiving we thought the whole cabin was yours but they are split into 3 so when our next door neighbours decided to come home in the early hours and talk very loudly until 4 am we could hear every word and it woke us up.

The spa was lovely and the outdoor hot tub was really good we stayed in here a while and had a few drinks. The restaurant was lovely over looking the lake. The real fire was good

I paid for an executive chalet but was very disappointed to find I got a one room chalet(plus bathroom) that was directly connected to two other chalets with "no" sound insulation at all. If someone next door was having a conversation then you could hear every word they were saying. One of the neighbours had children that were still playing in there hottub until very late at night then were to excited to sleep until after midnight. You could hear everything that was happening and what they were saying. Do not go there for a quiet or romantic weekend unless your happy to share your experience with the neighbours.

The showers in the swimming pool had very low pressure, the area was dirty and some tiles on the floor were broken.

I have stayed many times as the location is excellent and very close to my family. I love staying in the cabins in the woods, the good food and the swimming pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It took us ages to find it as we was told to look for a number on the cabin but we didn’t have one.. was pitch black and very muddy. Also in considerate from the lodge attached so we parked far away which wasn’t good in the bouncing down rain … the dales lodge also needs to be more private especially with having a hot tub the covering wasn’t good enough as people could se you sat in hot tub

A Grab handle in the shower would have been handy, as the cubicle is quite long & slippy But only a very minor issue!!

Lovely location, staff very friendly & helpful, room - an external lodge) was very comfortable & lovely & warm despite the cold/wet weather. Bathroom had obviously just been fully refitted and was excellent. Husband enjoyed the pool & sauna pre breakfast.

Last time I came you could use the facilities at any time and for free this time you had to pay and the slots weren’t amazing times

The overall place is a little tired and there were areas of my room that weren’t fully clean (mugs and tray, bathroom sink). The photos on here are almost certainly from when everything was a little newer.

I like we a hotel that provides ironing board, iron, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities without having to ask from reception so that was a win for me!

The Location- was too far out hence the Wifi Issues On my Work trip I came on last year, the Wifi wasn’t a problem. Maybe this was as my locations of Lodge this time was further out?

Loved the Privacy I got in my Woodland Lodge Made me feel: - Safe - Secure - Support from staff 24/7 anytime!!! Literally - My own Car Space outside my doorstep! What more can one want. Property was lovely
