Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandHotel itself is very expensive to eat or drink.. £8.75 for a pint.. paying for swimming pool use as a guest... Having to book breakfast pool and dinner also very annoying. Told there's no reservations available when the restaurant is half empty too.. lots of guest ordered Just Eat and collected at the door.. Early check out at 10am also ridiculous and £60 to stay until 12pm is extortion.
The staff all throughout the hotel from the cleaners to reception staff were sooooo friendly 10+ for all of them... Room was spacious and airy and air conditioning was also good. Ideal location to the Theme Park.

United KingdomBreakfast seating for two persons was in cramp areas where people were cueing for drinks. Bar drink were very expensive and they did not have any Zero alcohol beers.
Buffet breakfast adequate. Plenty to choose from. Room had a good view of the animal enclosure to the rear of the building.

United KingdomThe restaurant food was amazing and we were very happy with our meals, however it was a little over priced but this was to be expected for the venue. We had a one hour swimming slot which we would have like to be either a bit longer for our children to play, or have the option of a second session during our stay. These two are only very minor things and would not prevent us staying again.
Beautiful grounds, very clean overall including toilets and chamging rooms, lovely facilities with everything a family could need, modern and comfortable furnishings, large shower in a standard family room (very helpfulwith young children), comfortable mattress (which I find is a rarity in hotels), the oreo biscuits left on my children's pillows was a nice touch, very helpful and polite staff throughout. Check in and out was very easy. Staff were able to help us with last minute dining reservations when our other plans fell through. Staff were also very helpful with dietary needs and sensory sensitive children. Nothing was too much bother for them. We were also offered free parking with our stay.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like.
Fantastic breakfast. Good buffet selection and gluten free allergy catered for. Christina managing the breakfast session was superb and very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was also a joy to see a number of the animals which we never expected.

United KingdomIt's a themed hotel aimed at kids so obviously there was a fair bit of entertainment noise / music in the foyer. Had window open in my room and had to listen to the welcome music from the car park over and over. Fortunately I found it amusing rather than annoying.
Lovely choice of fresh fruit at the breakfast bar. Fantastic view out the window at breakfast - beats the view of the car park that I see at most hotels I stay at. Lady at breakfast (Julie) and people on reception very friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomOnly the free Wi-Fi which was so rubbish, it didn't actually work. It kept saying it would send an email to confirm the set-up. No email ever arrived and I could not get a decent phone signal in the room for calls and had to go outside and couldn't get tethering to work.
The room is large and comes with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was good and large. the shower was great.

United KingdomIt's quite possible to stay here and commute into London, but its is a long way. But the journey is fun on the 1930s Chessington South branch. The rates go up hugely when families come to stay and the white van men find somewhere cheaper.
This is an excellent hotel on the outskirts of London. Popular with "white van men", contractors doing decorating / electricians / plumbers etc during school term when children are in school, theme park is closed and families are not staying. Great rates and walkable or frequent bus 71 (terminus is outside the car park) to Chessington South station. Breakfast is good. I have stayed on three occasions.

United KingdomRooms and facilities a bit dated but nothing major. £2 per towel for the pool so would advise bringing your own.
Proximity to park, lots of stuff to do with the kids, good food options so didn’t need to go out looking for restaurants. Pool and splash area good for little ones. Early access to the park and activities in and around pretty useful.

United KingdomFood was budget quality without the budget prices. They have you captured! Cooked breakfast was cheap produce and dried out, but the continental was fine. Booking.com had put us in a junior family room, but my 10yo at 5ft could never fit in the kids bed. Luckily we could change rooms
Staff very helpful. Parking good and close to reception.

United KingdomDrinks were a bit pricey and draft beer went off, meaning you had to have expensive bottles. I suspect that in holiday season the hotel could be really packed and busy. I got a reasonable deal for the room, but I noticed the prices have real gone up now.
