Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location perfect as was there to go see Liverpool literally 2 minutes walk to the ground. Room was lovely, beds were comfy but sometimes you rarely meet the owners and we were greeted with a cup of tea lovely little touch made us feel so welcome and also when leaving as well. Lovely couple in Chris and Aida thank you will definitely book again if we are up again

Myself and my son have just arrived home after our stay at the Charles Inn.We stayed here for the Liverpool vs Arsenal game.The accommodation is just a stones throw from the Anfield stadium so the location is a 10 out 10. On arrival at the Charles we were greeted by the hosts Chris n Aida they are two of the nicest i have ever met.At the door we were given a pair of slippers each to wear whilest at accommodation.We were made a lovely cup of tea with biscuits.We were shown our room which was very nice.In the morning we were made an omelet which was delicious.We ordered this the previous night.The room itself had 2 heaters which was totally adequate. The beds had electric blackets so we were toasty warm all night.Having stayed at Anfield many times the Charles Inn is easily one best accommodation we have stayed in.If you want to me treated like kings this is the accommodation for you.The hosts carnt do enough for you.Please dont take any notice of the bad reviews if you want 5 star accommodation pay 5 star prices its that simple.Value for money 10 out of 10. Location 10 out 10.

NetherlandsOur stay at Charles Inn was great! Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely couple who immediately sat us down and handed us a nice cup of tea. They then handed us over the keys to the house and the bedroom, and gave us a quick tour of the accomodations. The bedroom was nice and tidy and the beds were ready for us. In the morning we were greeted by a nice omelette and a steaming cup of tea. The location of the Inn is perfect for people who come to Liverpool for Anfield, and it‘s also close to bus stops to get to the inner city. For people that don‘t mind walking a fair bit, the inner city is also a walking distance away. (20-30 minutes) Overall, we highly recommend Charles Inn for people travelling to Liverpool!

United KingdomThe heating in the bedroom and the bathroom was not optimal. We travelled in December. There was no heater in the bathroom and the temperature was nearly 0 deg C at night. There was no proper room heater in the bedroom either and the standing heater was not just enough. Even though heating blankets were supplied on the bed, I suffered from cold a lot and did not have a good sleep. I caught cold the next morning with runny nose and woke up with a throat pain especially during swallowing.
The hosts were very kind and lovely. They made us Ceylon tea on arrival which was a nice gesture. The breakfast was nice as well, bread and bacon omlette with tea. We had a nice conversation and felt at home.
