Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaNo running water on first day of stay, no notification about it, super rude member of reception staff who refused to give any details about expected time of fixing. Literally yelled on the phone. Bathroom was extremely tiny, you could barely turn around, was mostly uncomfortable to use.
Clean room, comfortable bed, top location.

United KingdomProperty was covered in scaffold. Would have been nice to have been told. Floor 2 corridor looked like something out of a horror show but thankfully room did not reflect this.
Room was clean. Had to ask for bed separating as requested a twin room but this was done promptly. Beds very comfortable and plenty of heating available in room.

CanadaThe comments would not change us staying again but were a bit of a nuisance, we were not pre-advised. Hotel was under some renovation during our stay. After one night no electricity on our floor. Room was promptly changed to larger room with better factilities however the in room enternatinment TV/Radio did not work for two days. It was explained that as it was the weekend the service guys do not work weekends? I found this unusual for a major hotel and as I travel a lot, this was a first.
Excellent location for the hotel with Hyde Park basically across the road. One tube station four minute walk, the second 10 minutes away. Main street with many restaurants, food shops, pharmacies etc one block away. First room was smaller but adequate. Had to change after two days to larger basement room, larger bathroom but no window. Excellent breakfast with we purchased as not included in our room. I would say that the breakfast receptionsist does come accross as a little abrupt/rude but this may be because she was not a native english speaker. Would stay again.

United KingdomI have stayed quite a few times at Central Park Hotel, over the course of a few years. It's a hotel that looks tired but, nevertheless, clean and with responsive staff. There's quite a few things that need improvement and, importantly, beds need more comfortable mattresses. One more thing, you book a room (double or superior double) that looks nice in pics but in reality they vary in sizes, shapes and looks. A guest should know in advance what they should expect instead of a surprise. Having said that and despite low ratings I have given in the past (due to the reasons mentioned above), Nash, the Guest Relations Manager noted in personal communication that the hotel is under refurbishment; they expect this project to finish soon; and they promise that it will be a wonderful experience. I hope they will fulfill their ambition because the hotel is in a nice area and deserves a better standing.

United KingdomCurtain rail was broken so the curtain fell down overnight so the first nights sleep was a bit interrupted! Managed to fix it myself for the second night. TV in the room is kind of just for show! Not that you'd expect to watch much TV while away but if you were hoping to catch a little bit before bed, the TV provided wouldn't be much use! Most of the channels didn't work due to poor signal and the sound quality was terrible - very tinny and cheap sounding. There was building work going on which I don't recall being stated anywhere when booking and I was not prewarned by the hotel after booking so just something to watch out for - if you're thinking about booking, maybe call them first to see if the building work has been completed as it will wake you up first thing in the morning otherwise! There's a phone in the room and we're told the front desk is 24/7 but there's no number for them listed anywhere so didn't know how to get hold of them without going downstairs.
Great location, just off the main road next to Hyde Park and 2 minutes from Queensway Underground Station. Lobby was very grand and smelt lovely. Room was clean and well presented making a good use of the quite small space. Bed was huge, super king size and very comfortable.

United KingdomSee above , the room felt damp.
The room was good and of a good size. I had booked a more generous room, others in our party had tiny rooms. My only feeling was that the room felt musty and a bit damp. Probably because it has been used recently. This did make my stay a little less pleasant as I am sensitive to this.

United KingdomFor the price I paid for the hotel, I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't included. Even some snacks and a bottle of water in the room would've been appreciated.
This hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Queensway station, with direct trains to central London. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. Despite the building work on the hotel's exterior, I was able to get a decent night's sleep.
