We really enjoyed our stay here. Kevin and Susan are wonderful hosts! The accommodations were very nice, such a charming little hotel. The location was perfect, had a view of Arthur's Seat from our room, and it's only a mile or two from the city center and train station, all easily accessible by bus, taxi, uber, or walking. The breakfast options were great, lots to choose from. Be sure to have a drink in the bar with Kevin, who will entertain you with stories and local history.

The location is about 10 min drive or 35 min walk from city centre (which we knew) but many buses available. Many restaurants close by though.

Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Nice rooms. Quiet neighbourhood some rooms have view of garden and wake up to birdsong. 15 min walk to base of Arthur's seat. 20 min walk to craigmillar castle

Location not the greatest as a bit far to walk to things (but handy via public transit). The room we stayed in was a bit dated feature and amenities-wise. It was clean though.

Loved the hosts and great breakfast choices

I love this place. My teen son and i stayed for several nights in early summer. We found the staff kind and helpful, breakfast was varied and lovely, accommodations were comfy, clean and attractive. Worth mentioning, water pressure in the shower was outstanding. It's a little off the beaten path, but there's a nearby bus line that gets you to High Street in several stops. Overall, a very well done little inn.

The hotel was farther out from the city they we had expected. It took a bit to figure out the bus system.

The breakfasts were delicious! The breakfast room was cozy and inviting. The couple that run this beautiful hotel are delightful! After serious fall on the Royal Mile, they took such good care of us. They made us a wonderful breakfast with tea and cookies at 2pm. When we had to find somewhere close for dinner they gave us a ride to the restaurant.

Although a nice location it is a wee bit out of the city. Fine during the day for buses but you wouldn't walk it on an evening

I only wish that there was a TV with more channels and perhaps an air-conditioner, as on 1 or 2 occasions, the room got a bit warm. But these are very minor issues that didn't affect my stay much.

The hosts were excellent and friendly, guiding me on how to explore the city fully. I really enjoyed my stay in the rooms; the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient and accessible. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who goes to Edinburgh for a visit.
