Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOnly one of the elevators was working. But the one that did work was quick enough.
Absolutely perfect location, very pleasant and helpful staff, comfortable room with very nice decor. A classy hotel overall. The rooftop restaurant has a great view and good breakfast buffet. The afternoon tea there is lovely. I very much enjoyed my stay here and would gladly stay here again!!

United KingdomRooms are very outdated and in need of a revamp. For example wardrobe out of line and needing replaced. Damage to walls making it look tatty
Closeness to the rail station and the free minibar . Very comfortable bed

United KingdomNoisy this trip with ongoing restorative work. AC didn’t appear to work in room. Snacks provided in room were notably reduced. Lounge relocated first evening to restaurant, due to building restoration work.
Location of hotel is fantastic. Room had been recently refurbished and modernised. Nice to see. Club lounge access is always enjoyed in our bookings here. Recommended.

United KingdomAlthough I liked the sliding glass door for bathroom it was a bit too see through. I think the glass should be completely smoked out if using this sort of style.
Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Location was so central it was great! We stayed in one of the newly refurbed rooms which was lovely done. The added mini bar and nips was a great touch. Room was pretty modern stylish and very clean.

AustraliaSome of the finishes particularly in the Lounge area need some refurbishment. The bathrooms on our three stays there in six weeks all had issues with water draining slowly.
The location was excellent. Many places were walking distance including a very good Thai restaurant. The staff were particularly friendly and knowledgeable and gave us excellent directions and information. The Airport Link bus stop was just around the corner on the parallel road which was very convenient. It is also right next to the train station.

United KingdomThe bed was a little firm for my liking and the duvet was very heavy, making for a hot nights sleep. The furniture was a quite old fashioned and in need of a bit of TLC (there was a standard lamp that fell over of its own accord) although this was a minor consideration. The shower, although powerful, could have been done with an updated shower head.
It was in a fabulous location. Very central. Our room was a good size. Well appointed. There was a fan in the room which was useful. There was also a very good hairdryer and a pair of straighteners. Club room so free mini bar. This wasn't fully stocked when we first arrived (first impression was that it was poor) but had been stocked when we came back a little later. Huge bed. The club lounge was a nice touch and the drinks / snacks were good. Attached to a good pub. The restaurant on floor 7 was bright and airy for breakfast and the buffet was superb.

CanadaNot a thing
Being my wife’s80 th. Birthday celebration, the hotel went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Born in Glasgow, we decided to travel from Canada to celebrate and she wasn’t disappointed. The staff upgraded our room which was lovely and upon arrival found a lovely box of chocolates for her with a birthday card. So appreciated. The staff gave us excellent advice and the complimentary bar in our room was fabulous. Thank you so much for making this special occasion so excellent. Jack and Chris Packer

CanadaUnfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working. The front desk didn’t tell us when we checked in. When we told them our room was 25.5 C then they told us that the a/c was broken. We had a fan though. We were moved to a room with a window that opened slightly. It was a one night stay. We wouldn’t have stayed another night. Location is perfect. Staff are for the most part helpful. I’d stay again but ask for a room with a window and fan when the weather outside is above 20C

United KingdomRoom location, only one lift working
Hotel was in a great location and staff were excellent, we had a double comfort room, the bed was comfy and the shower good, there was also a free minibar which was a nice touch. The room faced inwards this meant the room was always very dark despite several lamps we also felt we had to keep the curtain closed as there were rooms directly opposite that could look in (we were on floor 1) there was only one lift working which was an issue in such a large hotel and there was always a wait for the lift. The restaurant on 7th floor was nice but the outside area for drinks was extremely small and there was no bar to sit at. We had a great stay in Glasgow not sure I would stay here again as the price we paid did not reflect the room we stayed in
