This is a fabulous place to stay, every aspect is on customer comfort. Michael the host is lovely. This is my 2nd visit whilst Michael has been running the hotel and will be booking again next year.

There is limited parking at the hotel, when full the residential roads are suggested, however when I arrived the hotel was full and no spaces in the roads near to the hotel. I had to park 15 minutes away which was tricky for me with suitcase, hold-all and handbag. I have respiratory issues making the walk to the hotel tricky. Maybe letting people who have similar health issues/disabilities know by writing on the hotel description.

The hotel was easy to find, value for money, exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable, my room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the road and was quiet. A nice choice of breakfast food. Has a lift which is handy of you have mobility difficulties. Very friendly staff. It was a nice bonus having a bottle of water on day off arrival (in the fridge) and a bottle of water the next day. A very nice two day stay.

The only downside was that there were building works taking place opposite that were a bit noisy and started pretty early in the morning, but I do appreciate the hotel had no control over this. However this was the only negative! Would come back again.

I arrived an hour or so before check in time, so cheekily asked if I could check in early. Not only did they let me check in early, but they upgraded my room from a single to a double! My room was clean with all the mod cons, and more importantly the bed was comfy. Breakfast was lovely. Being a vegetarian I was pleased to see there was plenty for me to choose from. Parking wasn’t an issue. If you couldn’t get parked in the hotel car park, there was free on street parking in front of and behind the hotel. Just a short walk to local amenities, cafes, amusements and restaurants. I bought myself a coffee from a lovely little cafe along the front and sat on Ilfracombe Beach watching the waves. It was tranquil and beautiful!

What a great hotel! Perfect location, just next to the Tunnel beach which is a must see, close to centre too. Very clean place, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and delicious breakfasts. Couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely be back there.

From the first step in the front door you enter a different time zone, the upgrade so well done right though the complete hotel. Breakfast was very good selection, Dinner menu was so good we eat in the hotel all three nights. Michael and all his Staff could not do enough for you. Room upgrade on booking in. House keeping was very good, even bottle water was in the fridge each day. Even with a Coach party in for two of our days, it did not affect our stay, other than make parking a bit tight

The showers were really good, although you could hear the humming from other rooms when someone had theirs but it didn't last long. We hit some good weather so the room was quite warm at night, you could open the windows but if you don't want to hear early morning seagulls, shut it and use the fan provided as standard in each room.

The welcome on arrival was great and Michael always seemed on hand to help. I'd been in touch earlier in the week and the gentleman was very helpful and able to accommodate our (changed) needs. The choice of breakfasts was very wide and we tasted a variety, all of which were excellent and perfect poached eggs - great chef!
