We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

My husband and I were touring Scotland and stayed in many hotels. The Cardinals Folly was definitely up there at the top. The staff for very friendly and the whole Hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good.

Stephen and Yvonne (the owners of this guesthouse) were ABSOLUTELY the best hosts we've ever experienced in all of our travels both in the United States and internationally! The room we stayed in was immaculate, and the breakfast Yvonne served both mornings we stayed there was incredibly delicious. They were EXTREMELY helpful in giving us guidance about what to see in the area and throughout Scotland. They truly treated us like we were family, and we will never forget their hospitality and kindness towards us. We would HIGHLY recommend Cardinals Folly to anyone looking for an exceptional guesthouse in Kinghorn, Fife!!

AustraliaOnly a suggestion not a criticism but I believe hotels and all accommodation venues should have a toilet brush in rooms.
Our hosts Yvonne and Stephen were professional, friendly and a delight to meet. It is close to the town with restaurants, hotel, groceries etc just a short stroll away. We were close to relatives in Kirkcaldy and only an easy drive to Perth and Blairgowrie near the world’s highest hedge.

United KingdomA very warm welcome from Yvonne who was always on hand to answer questions. Spacious hallway with a seat (and shoe horn!) to take off wet boots when returning from a walk by the sea. Yvonne also offered drying facilities for wet coats. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast with freshly cooked food and a wonderful selection of fresh fruit. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Breakfast was excellent - great choice and delicious. Our room was warm and well equipped with thoughtful touches such as cotton wool pads and toiletries. The bed was comfy and the welcome was warm. Yvonne and Richard were brilliant hosts.

A beautiful historic property, sensitively preserved / conserved. Super clean and fresh throughout. Beautiful fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings (eg bed and bedding). Plus Amazing freshly cooked breakfasts. But the biggest plus about this property is the host, Yvonne. We were visiting because my father had fallen ill. When we got there we found a suspension spring had broken on one wheel of the car. A local garage owner got onto it straight away (working through the evening, even though he had never met us before) while Yvonne took us to where we needed to go on three consecutive days. It was an incredible and heart warming experience, and much appreciated.
