Nothing not to like, be careful driving as the roads are narrow, try and keep your car journeys to the daytime as there are many ditches that a car could veer into.

It's a beautiful well maintained property next to loch lomond. Absolutely fantastic setting, a pub nearby and just at the foot of Ben Lomond if you fancy a hike up the hill.

Very remote and we didn’t arrive with any supplies - pub nearby gave us a glass of milk so that we could have a cuppa.

The bathroom door didn’t have a lock and didn’t close properly but only to give the owners a chance to fix it.

It was in a lovely location right on Loch Lomond with lovely views. Everything was supplied bedding, towels, cleaning products, toilets roll etc. Its facilities had everything we needed including a dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Very spacious too.

No lock on bathroom door but didn’t cause any major embarrassments 😂

Really peaceful location, cabin was so comfortable and welcoming. About a minute walk (if that) to waterfront.

There was nothing our family didn’t like about the lodge.

The lodge is beautiful. It’s clean, spacious, well maintained and dog friendly. There was everything we needed to enjoy our stay, and more. From a bottle of wine on arrival that we didn’t expect, family games we played at night, sky tv, a dolce gusto coffee machine, crisp clean bedding, and a large utility room where we stored our fishing gear so we didn’t need to bring it inside the lodge. The grounds are private and well maintained with a jetty and beach at either side. It sits right at the bottom of Ben Lomond if you like to hike and adjacent to The Rowardennan Hotel with The Clansman pub attached for refreshments and a bite to eat should you like a break from self catering.

No supermarkets nearby. It is and excellent place to stay if you're into watersports, but it is very isolated and the nearest supermarkets are quite far.

The lodge has everything you need. Very nice hosts. There was a problem with the dishwasher and they fixed it immediately.

Maybe I missed the instructions but we couldn’t find the washing machine/dryer. There was a locked door on the outside of the property and on speaking to the owner we found there was a key to that door in a kitchen drawer, and that’s where the laundry facilities are.

Location amazing, in sight of the Loch just a short walk away. West Highland Way walking trail runs past the entrance. Very quiet at night. Lodge was well equipped so we cooked some of the time and used the BBQ though there is a Pub almost next door if you prefer to eat out. It was busy though, booking for dinner recommended. Friendly and helpful owner, not on site but easy to contact by phone, grateful for me reporting a couple of maintenance issues.

A few more chairs on the verandah please. The Lodge sleeps 6 but there are only 4 outdoor chairs.

The location is breathtaking and we were there the evening of the amazing Northern lights show so very special and memorable for us. The Lodge ticked all the boxes for us and had a very homely feel. Ensure that you have all basic provisions with you as there is nowhere nearby to shop. We used the Lodge as a base to climb Ben Lomond so excellent location as right near the start of the walk.

    Nothing! Was great!

Have never been somewhere so we’ll equipped! I always do self catering and take everything….at this lodge most of what I’d packed got left in the boxes as it had everything! Very comfortable, excellent Wi-Fi for the teenagers and lovely location- just remote enough!

The weather wasn’t brilliant but hardly the lodges fault, January in Scotland! We came prepared so not a problem. The Clansman Bar next the hotel being shut until March was a bit of a let down but we made alternative arrangements

Perfect location, Lodge very spacious and well equipped. Everything was very clean and the welcoming bottle of wine was much appreciated

    Nothing

Caol Gleann lodge provided the perfect get away, the lodge is cosy but modern, it has everything we could possibly need. The lodge is a few minutes walk to the loch edge with spectacular views of Ben Lomond and beautiful trail walks nearby. Our host deserves a special mention, we had a couple of enquiries and requests and they couldn’t have been more accommodating- it’s really helped make the trip extra special. I hope to come back very soon!

This lovely, cosy lodge is right on the Loch and at the foot of Ben Lomond (a popular hiking mountain). Stunning setting on the quiet side of the Loch. The lodge was clean and comfortable with all the stuff we needed provided. There was a double room, a twin and another room with bunk beds. Perfect for our family of four. We hope to be back.
