Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe breakfast times were very early 7 to 9 am and were obviously set to service the work conferences that go on in the week. Not nice for a leisurely stay. The drinks prices were over priced. The breakfast on offer was limited with a toaster for toaster to make your own toast set on a rather high counter top. The cooked breakfast was not hot enough and the sausage tasted like sage stuffing. Beans were placed in an egg cup and were dried up. Not a value for money breakfast. We would book a room only if we stayed again. The room temperature was a little chilly and the radiator did not warm up. We informed reception and it was rectified. The weather temperature had changed and we needed to heat the room.
The room we were allocated was much bigger than we booked and a lovely surprise. The bed was super king and very comfortable. Nice to have an extra door with access to the garden. Bathroom well appointed with separate shower and bath. Very clean.

United KingdomMy only sore point is this, which I explained on my departure this morning. Room 1 should not have two single beds made into a double if the mattresses are of different heights/depth. It made for one of the worse nights sleep Ive had in a while which is a shame given its one of the most important parts of the stay
Not sure of the gentleman's name on reception on arrival but extremely polite and helpful. The room itself was clean with excellent facilities (other than the bed unfortunately which Ill highlight below). I didnt arrive until late into the evening (past 9pm) and given the low number of quests, it was understandable to close the bar early but manged to get a drink. Anyone arriving late can use Just Eat and get delivery from as far as Bracknell which is great. Breakfast was excellent no faults whatsoever. (poached eggs were spot on) There are a multitude of positives with this hotel, location, building, and surrounding gardens which are well kept. Ive stayed here several times and enjoyed my stay each time, and Im a little reluctant to say anything negative about such a nice hotel but need to point something out

United KingdomThe hotel is used for weddings and events and is a wonderful setting. However, some small room details let it down. There was no full length mirror in the room - could not see how my outfit looked. There was also no plug socket near the only, and very high up, mirror in the room. I ended up using a socket the other side of the room and standing on a suitcase so I could see to dry my hair (I’m 5ft 7ins so anyone shorter would really have struggled).
Beautiful hotel and our room was stunning. Very spacious and clean. Lovely bathroom too with a sunken bath. The breakfast was plentiful and the setting (in the stables) is just lovely.

United KingdomA male and female receptionist wasn't very friendly and was actually quite curt. The female receptionist whom I checked out with actually charged me the wrong price for the additional dog fee. She didnt even apologise when I pointed out the error and made me feel like I was in the wrong for causing hassle. The room was fine, nothing to write home. Clean enough just aged bedroom and bathroom. But for the price and 4 * I have expected higher standards.
Nice gardens, there was one receptionist lady who was friendly and replenished out water. A gem out of the whole team. Bringing Tea bags and milk with a smile.

United KingdomThe hotel seemed to have made no provision for the temperatures of the day. A floor fan in the room isn't great for a dog-friendly room. The blinds were open, the windows closed and the room really warm upon arrival. Some rooms have curtains, but ours had roller blinds fitted very close to the windows. This meant that lowering the blinds for shade cut off any ventilation benefit from having the windows open. The room therefore became stuffy overnight, and raising the blinds for ventilation meant early waking due to the light. A bit more forethought from the hotel would have meant that the blinds could have been down all day, keeping the room cooler for arrivals.
The room was well appointed, very spacious and dog-friendly with access to the gardens. The bathroom was also well appointed and very spacious. Dinner was great, though the restaurant initially didn't seem to have any tables set aside for people staying at the hotel on a DB&B rate, which seems odd. Breakfast was also good.

South AfricaThe bar being closed when we returned after a meal at the Stables restaurant, although eventually we got served. Bedroom would have benefited from a throw or cushions on bed. Also a fridge in the room.
The entrance is beautiful. Our balcony was a bonus (once the wedding party moved into the restaurant) attached to our room.
