This hotels provides everything I need to be able to work away from home with my pet in comfort and without hassle. Flora is extremely welcoming and friendly and will sort anything out she can, as will the rest of the team. All staff are very welcoming and accommodating The Garden view rooms are comfortable, a very good size and nicely kept Bar area is welcoming and relaxed with a more formal area further back

More than happy with our stay.

Our room with access to the patio and garden was beautiful and more spacious than expected. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Our family joined us for delicious pizzas in the attractive Briars courtyard.

We thought breakfast was included in our stay but it wasn’t so when we had to pay for it we thought it was very expensive for the “warm” option which was £15 for a bowl of porridge or two boiled eggs.

Cleaning could have been a little better - on the whole it was very clean but there was fluff on the chair and some dirty drips on the wall. The music playing in the restaurant at breakfast was too loud - is it needed?

Friendly staff, fabulous room with king sized, comfy bed and a huge bathroom with whirlpool bath. Breakfast was very generous and well cooked and presented.

The rooms were not soundproofed. Our "neighbours" in the room next door were very noisy and argued loudly until nearly 2.30 a.m. Our room had patches of damp and flaking paintwork near to the door. The windows were difficult to open and close due to the frames being warped. The menu for the evening meal was a little limited and some items were not available.

The grounds were fabulous and the easy access to the outside areas was very good. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful and parking is plentiful.

For an overnight stay this was just what was needed.

The location was good which we found easily with the satnav. The car park was busy but we managed to find a space. The evening meal was enjoyable with the staff being very attentive to all our needs. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a lot of choice for breakfast the following morning again with the staff being very helpful.

The price of food and food options. Very little for kids. Couldn't even offer a mashed potato. No mattress in the cot, very hard with next to no padding. Impossible for 1yr old to sleep on as it was. No air conditioning.

Liked the esthetic, size of the rooms, reception staff, happy to help with any requests. Grounds are beautiful.

Little bit tired paint work in main house area but it is an old house and our room was fresh and comfortable.

The location was chosen as it is close to family. Very nice outside seating area at The Stables bar

Food at breakfast was good quality , but service lacked organisation. Took 40 minutes to be served a cooked breakfast ,after ordering. Buffet items were not replenished , eg fruit , danish pastries , yoghurts , and dishes and plates needed to be requested . Although staff were friendly, I'd give a very poor rating for poor service . Not making excuses but being understaffed without proper supervision/training could have been the issue.

No lift.

Our room was excellent, large, tastefully furnished and very clean. It had a beautiful view of the garden seen through a large picture window. The Stables Restaurant area was quite charming and breakfast was good.
