Probably the best location for a hotel in Cambridge. But pricey.

Staff inexperienced and disorganised. Computer system they are using is seriously slow. Breakfast was disappointing. Low quality sausages and bacon. Took ages to poach an egg.

Great location, beautiful room with balcony overlooking river, sheets wonderful, bed comfortable. Spa is good.

The shower gel and tissue boxes had not been refilled in my room. I only discovered the shower gel issue when in the shower so had to make do with bar soap as it was a one night stay. Also the mini bar fridges are quite loud and constantly turn on during the night to keep cool. But the absolute worst thing is the parking: This is not included in the over night and stay and instead was an extra £25 for a single night! Highway robbery! For £250 a night this should be included in the room rate.

The location is convenient for exploring Cambridge, being about a 15 minute walk from the heart of the city. The style and decor is also very nice.

The darkness of the lobby, corridors and rooms. Also the a/c meant the room was so cold despite turning up to 24 and then off overnight.

Wonderful location; friendly staff who were very helpful; large comfortable bed and excellent shower. Breakfast was in a lovely airy space with a great choice.

A bin in the bedroom would have been very helpful. We consumed the caffeinated coffee and breakfast tea on day one. These were not replenished so on the morning of day 2, when we were hoping to have tea and coffee, there was none.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. We had a king sized room and it was very good. Lovely view of the river.

Asked for and received a walk in shower due to limited mobility. Unfortunately the shower was hand held with no place to fix it. This made showering difficult for someone with limited mobility and they were too anxious to use shower by the last day

The shower wasn’t great. The staff all seemed very stressed and we gave up trying to get served at the bar in the evening because there was only one girl serving and had already waited 10 minutes. There was another member of staff at the bar but instead of serving (despite there being several people waiting) he was cleaning! There wasn’t any place to buy a bottle of water except at the bar and we didn’t want to pay £7.50 room service fee just for two bottles of water. The outdoor area was lovely, but the staff forgot about us and were standing around chatting. The ladies next to us also had the same problem.

Location and outdoor dining/bar area. Good parking facilities.

Location of the hotel is perfect and room is very elegant with a balcony and view of the River Cam. A special shout out to Alex who has assisted us during our stay in so many ways. His personal attention and care has made us feel very well taken of. This is definitely our go-to hotel in Cambridge!

One of the cleaning staff sat on the floor of the balcony next door talking loudly on his phone, smoked a cigarette (and the smoke blew into our room) and then started to watch a film on his phone so we had to go inside and close the door.

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and quirky touches to make it “un-corporate”. Upgraded to a king size room with river view so enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the punts go by.

The hotel had obviously spent a lot of money on new tables, chairs and umbrellas, which my wife really liked, but I really didn’t, sorry!

Air conditioning on far too high so the room was very cold. Even turning the temp up to 24 made little difference. I turned off the air/c overnight but even then the fan continued for a very long time. We didn’t like the darkness of the reception at all or the darkness in the corridors or rooms.

Location is wonderful; staff are lovely and breakfast was lovely. Bed was so comfortable, room was so spacious and shower was excellent

We had a balcony, which was very nice, but I found the chairs on the balcony not particularly inviting. Since the cushions were left outside in all weather conditions, they didn't look very appealing. I would suggest placing a storage box there to keep them clean and only use them when needed

A very charming hotel, right by the water and centrally located. Our room was perfect. The couch for our son was very comfortable, and our beds were very cozy. Great view of the river. The breakfast offered everything you could wish for. We dined at the restaurant one evening, and the food was delicious. Some of the staff were quite young and thus a bit inexperienced, but they were all very friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of.

Found the breakfast to be really quite poor quality relative to other hotels, they could use a new supplier for their bacon and sausage etc. surprising as the evening meals I had were top class

Really classy hotel with lots of facilities, lovely river views available and garden area was lovely for a drink in the evenings. Great location to set off to the museums and town in general

Our two rooms could have been much closer together. The laminate floor of our bedroom made it feel functional rather than luxurious.
