Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandThere was a significant construction site located right next to the hotel. During our stay over a bank holiday, the site didn't bother us, but on the day of our check-out, we could hear the noise from the construction site. Additionally, the hotel does not have an elevator, which was fine for us, but might not be suitable for everyone.
The location is excellent, right next to St Pancras/King's Cross station. The facilities looked good with a cute bar and terrace on the first floor. The price for the stay is great, especially considering it's in London.

It’s across the road from St Pancras so ideal for getting around it’s not the cheapest but I’ve paid more and had far worse so good value for your money in Central London

United KingdomVery warm night (summer) but couldn’t leave window open/open curtains for breeze as no nets or frosted glass. Found a fan the next morning! Bathroom window needed frosted glass as next to roadside. Towels very small, no hand towels. Bed very high (needed a step) made it difficult getting in and out due to hip and knee problems.
Quirky, good value for money, friendly staff and excellent proximity to station whilst not being too loud. Nice secluded garden area to have a drink.

The location was excellent with eateries and pubs right around the corner. The train station was within 200m making it easy to get around.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Excellent communication prior to arriving. Room was very clean & comfortable. Quirky, cosy & welcoming. Stored our luggage for free prior to checking in & after checking out. Delicious breakfast provided in neighbouring hotel. Staff gave my son a birthday cake, drinks & snacks to celebrate his birthday while we were there. Convenient location for King's Cross/St Pancras. Tea, coffee & toiletries provided in room. Room was very quiet despite being very close to busy King's Cross station.
