Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe found the twin beds in the third bedroom a little small (short) for adults, albeit they were comfortable mattresses. Since there weren't that many eateries nearby we had most of our meals at home - and we spent several lovely lazy afternoon hours painting and playing Scrabble in the sunny conservatory when it was pouring with rain outside, but we found the dining room table and chairs a little uncomfortable after a time. Oh, and a couple more serving dishes and/or salad bowls would have been super useful. Just small things and didn't at all detract from the enjoyment of our stay!
We loved the location, the cottage, the views, and the super friendly host! We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely wood-burning fireplace, especially after a couple of wet and windy walks to the waterfall. The shower was fabulous - such great water pressure! The house was well equipped, including the kitchen (the fridge was on the small side to hold food for 6 adults for 4 days). We would definitely like to return ... in winter to fully enjoy the fireplace on a snowy day AND in summer to make the most of the outdoor areas.

United KingdomOnly one very minor issue: My wife found it difficult to dry her hair as the mirror is not located near a power socket.
A well equipped, cosy cottage in a peaceful rural location surrounded by lovely views and a working farm.

United KingdomReally missed having a dedicated BBQ area.. Perfect outdoor layout to support one. Not end of the world, I was aware and brought my own BBQ.
Absolutely wonderful, secluded, comfortable and perfect as a base to explore area with family, including a 4 yr old. Loved the fact that you could walk for miles just from the front door! Just north are some fantastic picture perfect forest and river walks. Close enough to a "large" town so no worries if you forgot something! Beds were comfortable and the entire space was well equipped. Explored caves, Beacons, coast and forests, all in easy reach! Bluetooth stereo was an additional pleasure, home away from home!! The handmade teddy's in my daughter's bed were a hit!!!

United KingdomCae’r Beili is an absolutely beautiful and immaculately presented cottage. We loved learning about its fascinating history by looking through the book that documented its sympathetic and unbelievable renovation. The idyllic location and surrounding landscape meant that we had a weekend of much needed tranquility: We could have sat in the conservatory all day watching the many birds that visited the garden. In the evenings, we snuggled up in the cosy lounge area and made the most of the awesome sound system whilst the log fire was burning away. The secluded location allowed for excellent star gazing too! We also really appreciated the attention to detail in the furnishings and decor; the gorgeous wool blankets, the fresh flowers, the Welsh branded accessories and not to mention the Christmas tree and festive ornaments dotted around! Meryl was a super friendly and welcoming host who was always on hand with any questions and queries prior to our visit! Cae’r Beili really is a one of a kind property and we hope to be returning again next year!

NetherlandsThe beds were comfortable but a bit short for tall people.. Also; when the weather changed from rainy to sunny and back, we all the sudden had a lot of woodlice in the upstairs bedrooms. Not a big problem for us, but good to know if you are not keen on little bugs entering your room through the tiny cracks in the walls...
Lovely cottage with enough space for our family of 4. Beds were very comfortable (though a bit short for tall people like us). Views were very nice with the sheep and their lambs right in the backyard. Kitchen and equipment was great as well. Really like the cupboard filled with games and even a picknick set! And the host was very kind and welcoming to us!! Lots of information available at the cottage about activities in the areas. Really enjoyed our stay!
