Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomUnfortunately the room I was in was very noisy from very early in the morning(5.30?) but after I requested to move rooms, the staff were very accommodating and moved me with no issues. The first room had the kitchen above, so it was the staff starting work preparing for breakfast.
Good location, friendly staff and nice and clean room with a nice shower. Value for money was good.

AustraliaHas some really good points; Great location, really clean and room layout is very good, optimising small spaces really well. Staff were pleasant and it was great to have a 24 hr reception. The only downside and its why we probably wouldn't return is the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and over 5 nights, it was a bit much. Otherwise a great little hotel in a great location.

MaltaWhilst the breakfast options were varied and very tasty, however we did not like the fact that it took quite long until items were replaced after the tray finishes and at times you would end up waiting quite long, hoping that the item comes out again. Also if you go for breakfast early or in the last hour, we also noticed that some items are not yet available or finish and are not replaced.
We liked the fact that our room was very spacious and exactly as described on booking.com. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The only downside to the room was the adjacent room, which we could hear the noise by other people since only a door was in between our rooms. We also appreciated the fact that the hotel took note of our message to be provided with gluten free bread which we had sent ahead of our visit.

The staff is really friendly. The hotel has (most likely) been renovated recently, meaning that everything is clean and nice. Breakfasts were amazing. One important thing to mention is that it was really quiet most of the time.

TurkeyStandard double room is tiny, the double be is attached to the wall from one side, so getting on or off the bed is challenging if there are 2 persons using it. Space for the suit case is really challenging. The breakfast does not consider the Halal food, food varieties to support diversity is required.
Hotel location is very good and close to restaurants, shops, and underground stations. Hotel is nice and clean.

United StatesThe check-in process was longer than I have experienced at smaller hotels before. Not a huge issue but we had to wait about 10 minutes for one person in front of us to check in before we then also spent over 10 minutes checking in.
The room was great, a great size for London by Hyde Park, and the beds and pillows were warm and very comfortable. The hotel was very quiet at night. The room had central heating. We loved how close the hotel was to the Tube (2 different stations) and to the park.
