Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomTo state it is 10 minutes from town centre that is only in a car it's misleading you need transport taxi service was brilliant. To get into the building you need a code. Also a different code for the room brilliant I thought. On the first night early hrs someone tried to access are room 2 times the code failed 3rd time that person was able to enter are room. That person was not staying there they left by the main entrance. This issue was reported. Their was a lot of noise within the building through the night with other guests.
The room was ok every thing you would have needed. Some areas could have been cleaned to a standard that's required.

The property, Decorative stone on the front wall was on the floor.(looks untidy) Also side wall was missing, should of been blocked off,or someone could have driving into the neighbours garden.

United KingdomAlthough we had been sent the main door code it didn't work, fortunately one of the residents had ordered a food delivery so we eventually gained access. When ringing the 2 help numbers neither answered and both mail boxes were full when redirected to voice mail. On having the same problem the 2nd night we were eventually sent a new code which worked. On the 3rd night the "FREE" parking was full.

United Kingdom1)The smell of the bed sets (cleaning product smell everywhere) hard to sleep with it. 2) After midnight or even 2 am, a women in the corridor was speaking loudly and you can do nothing because there is no reception there. 3) no reception which is a big problem 4) they will give you four digits cod to lock the door which is not safe and even if it is you who define your digits(which is not possible) 4 digits is very easy to unlock and there is no way to lock from inside, i had to out something to block the door to sleep. 5) the location is seriously problematic, i am even happy I haven’t left my car there, couldn’t feel safe (at Huddersfield). 6) to leave, you pack you go, no real communication which makes you feel like ….
Even if it was old, you will feel like home. Maybe the only reason why I still give it positive review.
