The food wasn’t great at all. We ordered the steak ale pie and it was a frozen pie that had been over cooked . We had to turn it upside down to cut it. Mash potato was cold too

There were no staff on reception on arrival and leaving. However, a staff member did arrive to assist very quickly.

Room was excellent, as was the breakfast. We did breakfast rather late at around 9:30 and much of the cooked breakfast was limited by then . The breakfast area was very inviting and comfortable.

The breakfast kept running out and there qas only 15 persons they don't have enough staff to manage the kitchen bar and front desk . Apart from that my stay was great.

The view from the room was great, the room was clean and very comfy but small clean but we stayed for three days and were told that they would not attempt to tidy the room unless we were there for a week or two I found that reprehensible!.

The room was not serviced every day, so the bins were not emptied or the bed made. The tea/coffee supplies were not topped up, so it felt a bit like Air BnB or self-catering, having to go and ask for supplies. The socket for the hairdryer was on the opposite wall to the mirror. No desk lamp so the room was quite dark. The food in the restaurant was average, and mostly overcooked. Breakfast was average with same cooked food available every day. There were no drawers for clothes, so other than hanging them up, the rest had to be kept in the suitcase.

Bed was very comfortable. Room a good size. Iron and ironing board supplied as was hairdryer. Shower cubicle was spacious, and shower flow was good. Slip mat provided. Tea and coffee facilities. Toiletries supplied, with separate shampoo and body wash. The breakfast was average. The grounds were awesome, and the view from the restaurant was over the lake, and superb.

Short staffed. Staff worked exceptionally long hours. Some staff worked from 7am-11.30pm on two consecutive days.

The bathroom seemed to have been renovated but the rest of the room was dated. One of the lamps beside the bed was not working, I’m sure it could be easily fixed but, other than when I was checking out, I never saw a member of staff at the reception desk. Probably because the property is quite old, there does not seem to be any form of soundproofing, you hear every door slam and conversations from neighbouring rooms. It’s a shame because the bed is very comfortably but noise made it difficult to sleep. However, given that the room rate was pretty cheap when I stayed, overall, it’s not that bad.

The hotel is in a nice location, close to city centre and by a lake. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom. Room was clean. Price was cheap.

Ground floor room. Windows bolted shut. Privacy film over window so zero view. No air con, too hot. Arrived late, unpacked before releasing issues with windows so decided to lump it instead ask to live and have to repack, get dressed etc

some marks on bedsheets, and on walls. Comfortable sleep however heard lots of door banging. Had a knock at the door for room cleaning service around 09:30am but I was due to check out at 11 so that seems unnecessary.

Quick and easy check in/check out. Spacious dining area for breakfast with enough options. Very clean bathroom. Beautiful view from dining area.
