Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDifficult to find on first day and with us on motorbikes the road to the place was a bit rough but not a massive issue.
Fantastic place in a superb location, we really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again for next year. Great for a morning run in the hills.

United KingdomNothing. It was fabulous.
We loved the fact that 14 of our family could stay here. -8 adults, 5 children and a three week old baby. We all had separate units and could have a degree of separation for the sleeping accommodation. There was a communal kitchen where we could all eat and a sitting area. The courtyard with fife was also a great sitting area and we loved having a barbecue. The barn with table tennis, toys and piano was also fantastic. The children all loved the trampoline and seeing the sheep. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped with everything you would need. Highly recommend.

United KingdomOliver (who lives next door) was very helpful, and apologetic when small things went wrong (the toilets run on rainwater and there had been none!). I think a welcome booklet explaining how things work - the projector, where to take the bins out etc, would be really helpful, as we felt like a nuisance having to text Oliver quite a bit, and presumably lots of people will ask the same questions. We hadn't realised there is no Wifi, and mobile signal is rather patchy, but that was ok for most of our party who wanted to get off-grid anyway!
11 family members joined for a countryside getaway for a special birthday. The place is idyllic - very remote, and just has a lovely friendly feel to it; peaceful and rustic retreat-like. There was something for everyone - from the ample bookshelves and reading nooks for older family members, to the surprise of finding a giant trampoline, tree swing and of course the games room for the little ones. In the eves we had movie nights using the projector and screen in the sitting room. The weather was STUNNING for Scotland and we loved breakfast in the courtyard - felt like being in the Med! Lastly, I absolutely adored the running/walking routes close-by. I went running in the hills one morning and it was just soul-soaring. The surrounding area is beautiful.

United KingdomNothing, wish we could have stayed longer and taken the beds home with us.
We loved our weekend away with the extended family to celebrate a special birthday. Olly was on hand to answer all my questions prior to our stay, he met us on arrival at the farmhouse and was there if we needed anything. He even took the time to pop by one morning & ask the kids to help him feed the chickens & sheep. The accommodation was 1st class, loved the decor & attention to detail. The farmhouse had everything that we needed to enjoy our weekend break. The firepit was a huge hit and we all found the beds to be super comfy. Our kids loved all the toys especially the train track and the bigger kids enjoyed playing darts and table tennis. We could not fault anything and hope to return in the Summer.

I loved the property. It was spotless. The children loved the trampoline and the swing and the table tennis. The views were exceptional. I also liked that the dogs could come too!
