No lifts. It was hard to carry the case up the stairs. Our room also felt like it was miles away from main reception and the bar and restaurant

The corridors can be very confusing at the moment I understand the renovation is taking place but maybe more signs and clearer instructions around the hotel to get to places

I asked for a corkscrew for our room and was told I would have to go to the bar. Would have been a nice touch if someone brought one to the room.

I didn’t realise you did eggs and pancakes to order until I saw them arrive for someone else.

Loooong walk to the room given. Surfaces could be cleaner, dusting wiping not part of cleaning regime ?

Comfortable room, healthy breakfast. Like the electric charging, convenient car parking.

Outside my windows were old furniture I know hotel is under renovation but £166 not best view. I also left my phone charger in hotel room and unfortunately it wasn’t handed back to lost property and due to another booking in room unable to ascertain of my charger is still there or not.

No air conditioning (or heating) and it was quite warm and stuffy. Only noticed the small fan in the corner the next morning.

Clean room. Shower had hot water and amenities. Good location for my purpose. Comfortable bed. Lovely reception staff.

the hotel is a huge ground floor area. As building works are ongoing it was a long walk from room to reception and breakfast. The breakfast romm is rather like a canteen, not very cosy.

Phone in room to call reception was not working. Had to go to reception to request house keeping- this should be done as part of regilar duty and not on request only

The dinner service was exceptionally slow. We waited an hour between starter (which only 2 of our 4 party had) and the mains. The starters were slow out but not as bad, maybe half an hour. We were served drinks straight away. When we highlighted the delay we were offered extra drinks free.

Excellent location for a Uni based event. Good, clean, comfy rooms with all the facilities you would expect, including sockets and USB sockets by BOTH sides of the bed! This is surprisingly rare to find. Staff were very friendly. There was also a gym and swimming pool on site.

Seemed a bit over-priced given the conference style orientation and location. NONE of the TV or radio channels worked on the tv. Room was very warm and there was no bottled water or room safe (4* hotels normally provide both the latter).

Very clean and modern 'large scale' conference hotel embedded in the University. The best facility/hotel in the area. Breakfast was fabulous (salmon, black pudding, fruit selections) although the ambience of the seating area was more geared towards large scale conference practicality rather than a premium/exclusive feel. Pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi and exercise facilities were excellent. Extensive free parking included.

It’s expensive - especially during the week and on Saturdays but I guess it’s a conference hotel so businesses can afford it - it’s basically a Prem Inn with Spa - which is lovely when it’s not too busy …

With the renovation work it was difficult to find way around. The bathrooms were tired and old fashioned and could do with a shower. I imagine this will be renovated.

Location was great. Food in restaurant was great and accommodated food intolerances. Very helpful staff.
