Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Route to dining room entails a step, guaranteed to trip evening after staff warning us!) in dark - probably needs a yellow line on it. Had not taken on board only a la carte menu after 18.30 so limited choice - btu meal really was excellent.
Well located for Chatsworth House. Room small but high spec. Staff friendly and supportive. Excellent evening meal but menu limited after 18.30 - after when a la carte only.

United KingdomThe only very minor criticism would be that there was something on the ceiling giving off a green light which was a massive shame as the room would have been pitch black at night otherwise but its minor as the stay was very nice.
We had a really very pleasant stay here. The room was very cute and cosy, the bathroom was lovely and extremely modern and both room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The breakfast in the morning was also amazing. The hotel is in a great location for Chatsworth house and Bakewell. Overall very happy with our stay.

The quality and presentation was great but value for money and choice are limited for meals and light bites. Needs to expand as it was the only downside of our stay and a complete contrast to the excellent breakfast offered the following morning!

We had a lovely stay , the room with copper bath was the highlight of the room. But if you stay here you must book in the restaurant, we had the 6 course taster menu and we felt like we were on master chef it was outstanding & will definitely be going back. The breakfast was also best we have ever had, you could really tell the quality of the local products

United KingdomWe only had 2 niggles could here the pin toilet flushing when in bed and the menu was amazing for foodies,but as my husband suffers with a stomach disorder we found difficult choosing from the menu,just some plain old fashioned food goes a long way.
It was. a lovely old pub in the middle of nowhere,beautiful rooms with a fantastic copper bath,the bed's were so comfortable .The breakfast and the waitress were great.

United KingdomWe stayed for a Saturday and Sunday night. Didn’t realise until we were there that the inn closed at 6-30pm and only did food until 4pm. That might have been my mistake in not researching the opening hours and food options properly.
Comfortable room with luxury bathroom. Contained all amenities needed. For evening meal my husband and I had steak, best steak we’ve eaten in years.

United KingdomEverything was immaculately clean in the room. And the bed was amazingly comfortable, me and my best friend had the best night sleep we'd ever had away from home! There were delicious handmade shortbread as well as a high grade coffee options. The deep copper bath was absolute heaven. The food at Bulls Head was absolutely incredible and well worth the price if you choose to eat here for dinner. The breakfast was also very tasty with a good variety of options. It is very convenient for a visit to Chatworth House. I should also say that although the pictures do not show a door between the bedroom and the bathroom, we were releaved to find there is one on arrival.

Exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed into the place by friendly staff and a delicious warm chocolate brownie. The service, food, accommodation, and location were outstanding. We will certainly be staying again, and having the tasting menu again, simply amazing presentation and taste.
