Warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Great meals at both dinner and breakfast - if you arrive at the Buccleuch Arms on a motorcycle you'll be looked after like nowhere else in the UK. And great value as well.

Great, attentive service from Dave and the team. Food in the restaurant was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. There is nowhere better to stay if you're on a motorbike due to the team's enthusiasm and knowledge, and the brilliant parking and facilities!

Great bar/restaurant/accommodation run by a biking family with extra features for bikers. Secure metal garages with heating and storage, cleaning materials and pressure washer available. Map room and up-loadable routes available, wealth of local knowledge from the family.

Everything, from arriving to leaving you could not fault. great parking arrangement for motorcycles and added bonus of washing facilities for cleaning bikes. Evening meal was great recommend the steak pie. Breakfast selection was very good. Shame on me for not booking sooner.

Travelling as a solo motorcyclist this was a perfect destination. Secure locked parking at the rear of the hotel. Dave and his family couldn’t have been more helpful with advice for routes etc. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel, great hosts and wonderful food. We chose this as a stopover before travelling further into Scotland, will definitely stay here again. Was a highlight of the trip 😁. Food was superb 😊

If you're a motorcyclist and in this area, you will not find a better B&B than this. Dave and his staff are wonderful hosts. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding. Hope to stay here again next year?

The hotel is old and full of character - furniture in the bedroom is basic but all in good order and in the right place.

We called into the Buccleuch on a previous stay to Moffat and we were so impressed on how friendly the family who run this hotel are - we decided to stay on our next visit to this charming town and we weren’t disappointed- in fact we had a most delightful stay. We are motorcyclists everything you could possibly need for your trip has been thoughtfully planned and provided by the wonderful team here, from individual garages for the bikes to cleaning facilities and a power wash station. What struck us - was how the staff communicate with each other- and how well run the hotel is - Dave the owner was always on hand and ensured our stay was comfortable and expertly organised - from the warm welcome we received at check in, to the friendly bar (where we met some great people on their travels) and dining experience, to our smooth check out! I have to say it’s impressively geared up for visitors on two wheels, but all guests were well looked after and treated with respectful, friendly banter and a genuine desire to provide you with the best service possible ! Bedding is spotless and a really comfortable bed. Great shower !! Good hospitality tray. The breakfast was amazing - I’d even go as far to say it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had !! (Vegetarian breakfast - it’s was DELICIOUS, I’m not a vegetarian - it was amazing) beautifully presented too. We also enjoyed two evening meals here and again delicious and a lovely ambiance in the dining room. Another lovely touch was complimentary still or sparkling refrigerated water. Ohh and a daily lottery ticket left in the bed - which was a lovely gift idea ! We will most definitely be returning to this delightful hotel. What makes it exceptional is the team who run it and we’d highly recommend it!
