Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe individual breakfasts when the buffet wasn't available were poor. My sink got blocked but despite reporting it, maintenance never got around to sorting it during my stay there. The local buses don't run a parallel service back to Stockport Station so cabs are required if you don't have a car.
The buffet breakfast was fine but the individual cooked breakfast when the buffet wasn't on was poor. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable in my room and there was a good shower. Also well located for a very good local pub called Puss in Boots!

United KingdomSecond rate hotel that clearly needs some investment. Unfortunately, britannia don't like to invest in their hotels at all so that won't be happening any time soon.
The fact that you are guaranteed to get a room, even when everywhere else is booked out you will get one here because not many people would book again unless there is absolutely nowhere else to stay. Breakfast was very good.

United KingdomWe are disabled andxasked for the disabled door to be opened on the car park to allow us access. We were toldbthat they didnt have a key for it. We were left standing for 10 mins and so I went back around the front to ask what was happening. I was told they were getting the key. At that 2 coachloads of people turned up. They were let in on the far end of tje car park good 200 yards away. We had been waiting a furtherc20 mins so we decided to follow them. We were really struggling and the coach parties were clogging up the hallway. My partner is suffering from long covid and eas very distressed so I told her to sit on the stairs. I finally gotbto 5he r3ception desk and saw the girl who was supposed to be letting us 8n standing there doing nothing. I raised my voice and asked her what shevwas doing. She swid she was just coming when the coach party arrived. There were other staff seeing to them Obviously the coach party were more important to them, more money to be made???? I asked where the lift was and she pointed vaguelly in a direction around the corner. This was being used by the coach party so yet again we had to wait. The girl offered to take some bags up the stairs whilst we were sent up in a tiny tiny lift. When we arrivwd at our room we 2ere shocked to see the bathroom floor was filthy, there a dark coke stain on the wall and the room had not been cleaned. The kay cards did not work properly and on 2 occasions had to go down to reception to get another card, leaving my partner yet again sat on the stairs. I told the hotel in advance that I was Coeliac and was told they would warn the staff.vThe staff knew nothing about it. I was offered potatoes, rice and carrots with curry that I couldnt have because it had gluten in it. 5he breakfast staff were more helpful but yet again hsd not been told. I compkained about the room and was offered a sorry, No one offered to come and clean it.
The only thing that was okish was the gym/ pool.

United KingdomThe room was stinking of cigarette smoke. I reported it 3 times & was told the manager would come & speak to me - the never did. I was given a different room, but it was filthy. I showed pictures to the reception staff & was told when I was checking out that the manager would call me. The manager didn’t even have the courtesy to do that.

United KingdomPlease don't let other reviews stop you from booking this hotel! It is a lovely hotel, yes the decor is a bit dated, but that is not what I go to a hotel for. I go to a hotel for a nice comfortable bed, a bathroom with a good shower and a good night's sleep. All of which this hotel provided. The pool and spa facilities were great. I paid £4 and stayed in for an hour. The jacuzzi was amazing! The location is perfect for a nice date night out. Redrock is literally within 5 mins of the hotel and is perfect for food, cinema etc. I would happily visit this hotel again.

United KingdomBedroom was very basic and tired and not particularly clean. No towels or teaspoons or telephone so we had to queue again in reception to collect these items. Bathroom also very tired and not well cleaned. Too far from Stockport and the train station.
We can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat in the hotel. Staff on the Reception were helpful. The only possitive about the room was the shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water.
