Super thin walls, partner was awake all night as the room next door were laughing and talking loud. Old building that needs updates and expensive room for what it had to offer. Early check out time, don't think I've ever been anywhere with 10am check out.

Great location in the city centre and good breakfast variety.

Our room key didn't work The toilet didn't flush properly Shower didn't get hot Overpriced when compared to premier inn

The staff were happy to help and the room was a decent size, location was great and bed was comfortable.

It was a bit stuffy in the rooms, I'm not sure if there was air conditioning I just didn't find or if there just wasn't AC in my room but I found it quite stuffy, I stayed in a windowless room too so I had no way of getting cool air in the room.

Breakfast was ok and location was great, the rooms served their purpose too. I also liked seeing that the hotel was doing work to freshen up the interior as it initially did feel a bit worn out, hopefully though after they have finished the works it will look and feel a bit more lively!

Perfect Location & hotel for what a paid met expectations no more, no less!!!
    • Leisure trip

    • Twin Room
    • Stayed 1 night

The room was a little dated & could do with upgrading! The tiles in the bathroom what needed repairing had been filled in with grout, the toilet seat was loose & moved about on the toilet. The light switches were really hard to find for the room & took some finding! Also I was on the first floor out the back & was quiet noisy so I got woken up quite early on the morning due to the sound of traffic & the bar emptying the bottles off the night before outside! I would request a higher up room if i stayed again!

Location was perfect & only a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station! Staff were friendly & very helpful especially when I could leave my luggage the day i checked out, so I could head into the City center. The room was basic but was fine & had a TV on the wall to watch if required. Bathroom was again very basic but had what we needed & the room was clean & beds were comfortable! For what I paid I couldn't have been happier!

Twin beds a bit uncomfortable, there was a big seem that kept feeling. Maybe they are zip together beds.

Good breakfast, need more staff clearing tables, struggled to find somewhere to sit.

Check in took ages, despite there being no queue. Lifts smelled of stale cigarettes Rooms were generally a bit grubby - especially bathrooms On the 6th floor the window that opened was tiny, so little ventilation. As the extractor fan didn't work, it took ages for the bathroom to de-steam. The main light didn't work in room 616. There were people carrying open pints of beer around the hotel and into the lift.

Got back late from gig and there was a constant noise in the hotel it sounded like a boiler coming on even though it wasn't, it interrupted our sleep. Only there 1 night and it was late so no point asking to be moved. Like other hotels rooms it was overpriced due to who was performing in the city.

Location was good and room a decent size.

Shower was very difficult to use, the knobs were really stiff and shower curtain would wrap itself around you due to the power of the shower. Main light did not work, had to use the lamp but that wasn’t a problem to us as we weren’t in the room a lot.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, and location isn’t too bad. I think the hotel itself is great value for money.

No free WiFi. Had to pay per device for room WiFi! Shower was impossible to control. Scalding hot then turning off when you try to adjust temperature. Shower curtain wraps itself around you while you’re trying to shower. Having to go down to communal area in reception to iron is a pain and the iron won’t stay on long enough anyway. You have to touch the power button on the wall every few seconds to keep it hot. Beds very squeaky. No bath towels in a twin room, just two very small towels.

Fantastic location. Nice staff. Beautiful old building but needs some tlc! Breakfast was tasty. Bed linen and towels clean.

The room was clean but the building is very old and tired. Also, paper thin walls! It's like having people next door in the room with you. And it's a busy hoe with many guests coming and going at all hours
