The decor was wonderfully unique and based on a Brighton theme. The room was perfectly prepare. Breakfast was excellent (!) with home made bread and the best mushrooms I have ever tasted. Coffee too was brilliant. Thank you!!

That the breakfasts were difficult to finish. I can't really say that there is anything worth making an issue about! Less than 5/5 would be awful.

Scott & Alistair are the ultimate hosts. They are welcoming and attentive. The service they provide is second to none, from the immense and tasty breakfasts, the honesty bar, and decor, to the immaculate bedrooms, quirky, clean and with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the 80s/90s music, the real individuality of the property, how close it is to most things in the South Hams, parking, gym, hot tub, the list of places to go by email...... wow!

Stunning accommodation and surroundings with top quality furnishings and finishing touches. Extremely comfortable bed and breakfast is amazing with a brilliant choice. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly this place is a must stay for exploring this part of Devon. We will be back!

The choice of breakfast was excellent. The dining area was very well designed, as was the rest of the building. The bedroom was warm always. Scott and Alistair were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The weekly Thursday Italian night menu was excellent.

Not being able to use the hot tub!The weather was not the best.Which was nothing to do with the guest house.

The Breakfast was 5* quality. The unique bar area was relaxing for a evening drink. Beautiful seating areas in side and out. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

High quality breakfast and furnishings. A lovely area to relax in downstairs. Great access to local beauty spots and helpful but unintrusive hosts who gave spot on reccomendations for eating out and things to do.

The breakfast was exceptional with a varied menu and lots of fresh homemade treats. The room was clean, cosy, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but loved the shower. It's always good to have car parking. Alistair and Scott are great hosts and made us very welcome along with Lola and Poppy the family pooches.The dining room is beautifully decorated, the garden is lovely and we had a very relaxing stay. The whole house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Marlborough is a good way out of Salcombe but a pleasant walk mostly downhill. However, we did catch the bus back up the hill! Overall, I would definitely recommend Brightman House for a relaxing break.
