We loved The Bridge House Hotel.

    No complaints.

The location within the beautiful village of Grasmere was perfect. Also, our room faced the river, an added bonus. We had a generous-sized room with a comfortable king-sized bed. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning and tea & scones in the afternoon.

A real treat after two hard days in the mountains; the perfect place to stay.

Nothing that I could think of could have been better

the location was ideal and after two days camping and running/walking competitively in the mountains it was so good to be welcomed so warmly and having the luxury of a double bed and super shower. Being offered a free 'high tea' on arrival, even though I was later arriving than anticipated, and nothing being too much trouble for the staff was the icing on the cake - excuse the pun. The riverside site was far enough back from the road to be free of any traffic noise and the surrounding grounds and views were great.

Welcoming and friendly staff (thanks Sarah!). Very nice communal areas. Freshly cooked breakfast each day. Very nice small village - recommend the coffee and lunch at Mathilde’s.

    Amazing location and superb breakfast

There were some great local products for use in the bathroom but were hard to access if you were enjoying the large bathtub (they were attached to the wall to prevent guests from taking them). The shower tiles were unfortunately not as clean as they should be. (Pictures can be provided if hotel management is interested). This wouldn't stop us from returning to an otherwise charming boutique hotel.

We received a warm welcome at check-in and were able to enjoy a really nice afternoon tea. The hotel is in a beautiful location and it was so great to have assigned parking on a busy weekend in the Lake District. Our room was spacious and decorated tastefully. We slept so well the one night we spent there. The breakfast that was included exceeded expectations.

A small bar and limited drinks. Limited/choice of breakfast and portion eg not a full English breakfast. Hotel not having its own restaurant but having to book elsewhere

Breakfast was great but they need another coffee machine or a different beverage system to avoid congestion. We stayed in the Bungalow but next time we would prefer to be in the main building.

    Location, convenience and helpful staff.

Room overlooking car park. Shame. Wasn't clear enough in information when booking that pool and restaurant not on site (breakfast is on site)

Great central location. Lovely decor in room. Excellent shower lovely bedding. Good breakfast. Lovely touch having tea coffee and scones available all afternoon. We sat in the sun in the garden. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Everything. Bedroom was big and had the feel of luxury about it. Shower was excellent with no waiting on hot water. View outside window was peaceful. Breakfast was delish and plenty to fill you up for the day. Afternoon tea was a welcome surprise. Staff were professional and friendly. The decor was beautiful and inviting. Grasmere is a beautiful and peaceful place and I would recommend staying here at Bridge House Hotel.

The fire alarm was set off accidentally by someone staying at the hotel which woke us both up. I understand this could happen but when people come to stay it needs to be pointed out to them where it is so as not to happen again as I believe it has happened before. I would have appreciated a complimentary apology email with maybe a slight reduction off next visit. It was ashame as I couldn't fault the hotel it was beautiful

Lovely receptionist beautiful setting and service room lovely and cream tea scones and croissants lovely

Really comfy bed, bathroom lovely. Breakfast good too, nice little treat was the complimentary cream tea on arrival and hot drinks.
