Our room was warm, comfortable and clean. We had a view over the city and could see the castle in the distance. The staff were helpful and efficient. We had a nice meal in the bar in the evening and a very good breakfast the following morning.

Room was private enough if you kept the blind down. Considering how cheap the room was we expected a lot less for the price we paid.

Perfect location for peaceful break. Not too far from city centre but far enough away to enjoy both sides of Edinburgh . Breakfast highly recommended as well.

The rooms decor is a bit dated. Water took a while to run hot in the shower.

I feel more staff could have been available on reception desk when times were busy and we waited for a long time because a customer in front was taking so long. Also didn’t like the bar nibbles of bread and olive oil because this felt like leftover toast from breakfast. I was excited to have some quality bread. Was also sad my chocolate strawberries I ordered weren’t available when I got to the hotel but I hadn’t been informed.

Convenient location close to bus stop and easy access to city centre. Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, pastries, yoghurt and cooked breakfast. Liked the king size bed and spacious bedroom. Staff were helpful and friendly, making our trip run smoothly.

The room was very comfortable, and the restaurant for dinner was very nice. We sat in the bar afterwards which was very nice, and we were greeted by the hotel cat! Very pleased with the friendly staff here too.

We were in the rooms in an adjacent building, although amazing room, it was very cold and windy to go outside to walk over to the hotel for supper at night.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. We had an amazing room which were huge and very comfortable. Supper in the onsite restaurant was absolutely amazing!

Another lovely stay at Braid Hills, the room was quiet and spacious. The breakfast is a good selection of hot and cold foods. There is a bus stop on the road right outside the hotel to go into town.

The bathroom ceiling had cracks, and the paint on the walls was flaking off, most likely due to moisture. Before advertising the room, these things should have been maintained as this is a hotel and not an airbnb.

I liked the architecture of the building and the victorian style, the interior design was nice as well with the Christmas decorations. The bus stop right outside the hotel made the transportation easier.

Being told that they could provide gluten free Sausages for my husband who is coeliac at breakfast, but then to be told they don't have any.

Great Service from Jake at Reception, nothing was to much trouble. A great advert for the Hotel. Made our weekend very special.

The breakfast wasn't very nice and the coffee was horrible.

The bed was super comfortable and huge! The water was roasting, which is 10/10 for me. The room was clean and cozy every night when we got in.

Our room was spacious, clean and warm and each day we managed to park the car on site. This was the first time we had booked room only and this gaves us more freedom to plan our day, when we did decide to have an evening meal at the hotel it was excellent.
