There was a problem with the sockets in our room, and we checked in late at night after a 6 hour drive from London, we were very happy with the response from the staff who attempted to resolve the issue and when this was not possible, they moved us to another room.

The location is above busy night life and would be great for party goers or someone who is celebrating, but not so great for relaxation as there is live singing and music on until very late. However I understand this can’t be help and is no fault of the hotel it’s self.

We loved the double bath the beds where very comfortable.

The room was cold we did ask staff if they could help with the heating and was told a staff member would come and help which they didn’t. This was the only down side to the hotel.

The location was central to everything. Great for nightlife and day time shopping/Christmas markets.

I didnt like having to put so much money for deposit on my card! Even though it was prnding it took a few days to go back in my account!!

- Keypad on the door made us a little worried about how often the key code is changed between guests - Sofas in the room were very worn and rickety, sank right into them when sitting on them. - The rooms could do with a little bit of modernising but it was comfortable enough. The reception and communal areas are really modern in contrast. - The cocktail bar was advertised but wasn’t open while we were staying at the hotel. - The security deposit took us aback a little (£50 per adult pre-authorised by credit card which is only taken if there is damage / significant soiling to the room). We’ve never encountered this before but it is what it is, I suppose. We took extra care in the room…especially with an inquisitive 4 year old! - Unsure how quiet the hotel might be in peak season / Friday & Saturdays (we stayed on a Sunday) as i could imagine it being geared towards stag & hen parties / large social groups etc.

- large room (deluxe studio for a family of 4 which was a perfect size) - room was very clean, plenty of bedding and towels - Communal hotel areas of the hotel were clean - jacuzzi bath -Excellent location for city centre shopping and Christmas markets - a lift to all floors - reception staff friendly - Nearby multi story car park (Victoria Street) - TV had satellite and streaming channels - Original fixtures of the old building were a nice touch - Great big mirrors in the room - We had a very settled and quiet nights sleep without any disturbance from surrounding rooms or outside (we requested a room facing the quieter Stanley Street which was accommodated) - Reception staff were very responsive via the Booking.com messaging service and we also received a very welcoming text message from Dani the day before our stay.

Only downside was no parking available and the deposit is a bit too much (double than the price we got the rooms booked) and it takes very long for it to be refunded.

Behind the hotel there is a street full of live music places so the music was sounding till late night.

The room was great and the bathroom had one bathtub and one hydromassage bathtub !

The bathrooms are strange with the 2 baths hard to get to shower and could be a bit cleaner Think £50pp is a lot maybe £50 a room

Room is not soundproofed. Next door was having party till early morning which was very disturbing. Hotel staff tried to alert them but failed. Mattresses are not in good condition.

Not much sound proofing from the room that sat next to us. The walls were not sound proof and you could hear everything going in the next room which, when we stayed, was a party of about 10 people with loud music.

The location was great in the heart of Matthew Street. The Property was unusual but nice. Quilted material on the walls, dark paint and our room had two (2) showers and a big spa bath.

Decor... room very dark. Bathroom some broken tiles around the bath.. windows don't open.... door to room was flimsy.

We had a few issues when 1st arrived with our fridge not working which we needed for my neices insuline to be kept in, but they resolved this
