The room was nice and spacious. Also bathroom had a good size. It was nice that we could use the indoor pool.

I don't recall ever staying in another hotel without any either mobile signal or Wi-Fi in the rooms (there is Wi-Fi but it was so weak in my room it might as well not exist), so for anyone planning to travel for work/work in their room/take or make calls or essentially want to be connected to the outside world, forget it. I had to go outside the main reception area to make a call as that's the only quiet place I could get any signal. The hotel is also quite remotely located without a shop or pub nearby (there is one pub down the road but is only open on certain days, and of course the day I was there it was closed), which again is fine if that's what you're after but just a point of note. So in summary - great as a place to go and relax/use the facilities etc, but not so great for staying on business I would suggest.

    Nice hotel, good/clean facilities.

For the price it is very dated and could do with an upgrade on carpets, furnishing Some hairs in bathroom.

Staff were super helpful and communicative, especially as we need check in at a specific time - they were very responsive via the app etc. Beds are very comfy and rooms are spacious. Conveniently placed for train station etc

The spa treatments are way too expensive, and not much variety. There also is not much variety at breakfast either, i think a few more options would be ideal considering the price yet what was available was delicious! I didn't like the tray charge for room service on top of room service charge which is already expensive! The ironing board was also broken in the room but apart from these minor things everything was lovely.

The room was lovely and the bathroom! Both were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely and the staff were very polite, and happy to help.

The rooms were tired. The hotel looks lovely in reception. However the 2 rooms we had were very tired and dated and were in 2 separate wings, so made me think that it wasn't one area that was last to be updated. My mums room (which she shared with my little boy) had no TV, when the TV was supposed to come as standard. The rooms were around £125.00 each I think. So just a bit tired for that price.

The gentleman in reception was lovely. Very chatty and made us feel really welcome. Lots of parking and close to Southampton without being stuck in a city centre for traffic.

Not enough staff - the poor girl on Reception was run off her feet trying to book people in, answer telephones, answer queries and had no back up. This is no reflection on the Receptionist, she was clearly stressed and unsupported and we reassured her that we appreciated her help. We asked to speak to the Hotel Manager to express our concerns as feedback but told there was no manager on site. We spoke to the restaurant/bar manager who was unable to reassure us that this would change at all. He offered us a free drink and starter in the bar. The bar food was disappointing. We did not book breakfast. Our room was downstairs, and with no lift in the hotel this made navigating the stairs with suitcases very tricky, a small stairway and doorway area at the bottom made it difficult to keep the door open to get through. It felt a bit like an area for cheap rooms in a basement. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The Pool area was chilly, nice pool but hardly any loungers and looked like a jacuzzi had been tiled over. There was a sauna and steam room. If I had booked a Spa Day or Spa Stay I would have been vey disappointed, definitely not Luxury as advertised. The only saving grace to this stay was that we got a good price for Room Only, the Stay and Park package offered by the hotel was very expensive in comparison and it cost half the price to stay one night and drive to park at the cruise terminal. I would not class this hotel as a 4*.

Fairly comfortable room, handy location for cruising from southampton,

Stayed here a few years ago and thought a return visit would be nice, since our last visit here things have changed a bit, and not for the good The price of the rooms has got ridiculous the price at the bars are ridiculous if you can get served 🙄 The corridors & room are looking very tired and need a good revamp and the breakfast was shocking the cereals where left out from the day before and the cooked breakfast was total rubbish waiting for food to be cooked they couldn't cope and it wasnt even busy We definitely won't be going back

No mini fridge that's usually in the tv unit. Ours didn't have one. Getting more expensive cost me around £250 for room only for two nights.

The room was tired, especially the bathroom, black bath seal, and tiles. The TV didn’t work very well at all, and should have been checked. I feel the room was expensive for what it was.

Convenience to Utilita Bowl, amenities were good, swimming pool, gym.

The flusher in our room wasn’t working properly, and while someone came to check, they couldn’t resolve the issue. We weren’t offered a room change. The hotel and the rooms seemed dated. Indoor swimming pool was quite small.

Additional bed for teenager was not at all comfortable, tea/coffee only provided for 2, towels for 2, even though 3 of us. Would benefit from sofa bed for extra bed, I think they cater for couples really, aimed at those on staying before a cruise.

Room was dated (but clean), in a noisy, dark corridor at the rear of the hotel. Which was presumably why this standard of hotel was available at a low cost. Cooked breakfast choice was limited, but overall the choice was excellent.
